There's a lot of monotone talking about duty and and fire and things being on fire and also duty and the character drama is based around whether these characters of unshakable loyalty who always obey their orders will, in fact, obey their orders. Spoilers:They obey their orders. Also things get set on fire

There's a badly written fight in which the enemy faction are a literal joke, and are defeated by a giant flamethrower that can shoot a jet of flame 35 miles long, in space, and the flamethrower is also a sword and the sword is really a dragon, sorry, drake, carcass that has been crafted by Vulkan, who crafts things and likes fire and drake (but not Kanye)
With that final asspull out of the way, the lads all take their armour off and engage in some good hot smelting action.

OK, guy who wanted to start Mechanicum last thread here. I proxied my 40k admech as Thralls+Castellax and such and played a game against my local GW's friendly WE player. Was great fun.

What I want to know, is why are Primarchs so unshooty and flimsy? Sure, in CC they can really tear things up, but I've fought Mortarion, Angron, Guilliman and Kurze so far and all bar morty have been shot to death fairly easily.

I know they're meant to be in transports, but Angron especially doesnt seem worth the points. He's so flimsy my Mechanicum Hqs can eat more fire than him, he doesnt buff his legion to any noticable degree (or if he does WEbro didn't mention it) and for his cost you can get a Spartan for your Red Butchers, which will do more for your army as far as I can see.

Probably missing something huge and important, but Angronius the mildly irritated didn't really impress me.

While I will admit that my Heresy knowledge is woefully out of date, I remember that Peratubo was always jealous of other Legions getting all of the glory while the Iron Warriors got nothing. I feel like he would resent one of those three for being the Imperial poster-children: the Dark Angels achieved similar levels of victories to the Luna Wolves, the Emperor's Children were perfectionists and were the only ones allowed to wear the Aquila, and the Ultramarines have always done everything by the book on top of empire building.
