This is really nice. My builds for other CYOAs are kind of based around healing and helping people anyway. And having sex with them. I figure this one doesn't outright make the sex part known, but considering how you affect people it shouldn't be difficult to get some on the side.

I kind of wish that there was an option to make people their ideal self, physically. Or at least improve their looks. Like if I'm rehabilitating a drug addiction, I can fix their mind and addiction, but I can't give their teeth back

That's the first thing I'll cure. And there is no shortage of people who require help. This may be the most important power I get from her.

Now I do have one mundane power left. Since I love cooking, I'd take probably take Food magic. Compassion is too much for me, though I'd take Pain sponge if I had the power left.

Never thought I'd pass up on Mind reading … but considering the alternatives, I'd rather spend my power on abilities I wouldn't abuse.

I'd probably get on with my life as I did before: Studying and helping friends when they need me. And if I fail at uni again, I'm certain a miracle doctor can make a decent living. Maybe even drop out for that, or even work as a paramedic … There's no job where I could use the power to take people back from the brink of death more often.

If you want a general purpose answer that applies to most people, just go to your usual harem anime and start jotting down the archetypes of the girls that pop up. The Japanese have been researching the answer to your question for decades now and have pretty much solved it for most people.

My personal preference is the Saber-type (for the lack of a better word): a waifu that's exaggeratedly submissive towards me but fiercely and aggressively defends me against others. A combination of guard dog and lost puppy, so to speak.

Empathy because I'm selfish and like the idea of getting a reward for all my good work.
Headpats, trust, contagious smile and lie with me because - again - I'm selfish and those are basically social cheat codes. But I'll try and make as many people happy along the way as possible. Trust and contagious smile should also make my patients feel safe (and headpats whenever I'm treating kids).

I'm reading this again, and it seems like what you're doing is reverse-engineering the rules to a VN and rebuilding them into a CYOA. Some of the things you mention don't need to be and contribute to overwhelming the reader.

For example, you mention that one of the heroines dosen't need a skill level, and you also mention that one of the heroines dosen't have a RR barrier. You can talk about that in the heroine(s) individual section(s), or even just put N/A in the relevant place if you trust a bunch of anons to get it.

Basically, your main problem is the big dump of info right away. If there was interesting material below this text wall, what I would do is prod at that for a while and then come up again to digest the rules for the game, but as it sits there's ne reward to encourage me to do that

I'm a bit confused on the rules still, but you have x slots a month to go on dates, so each month would be x rows to note the girl and the changes to relevant stats going on that date changed.

It's just bookeeping that a VN would do automatically, but that's the price of using this particular medium

It depends on how you build the rest, I suppose. I mean, none of it specifically needs to go besides what >>50233440 already mentioned. The decision of what to move should come more easily as you build it, provided you have an ounce of creativity, and from what i've seen in the intro, you've got enough to pull it off.

I'm not a particular fan of harem games, but a dating simulator CYOA i've never seen before. It'd be worth a look at the finished product just for the novelty.

Okay so I don't think I'll actually make a calendar, as people wouldn't be able to fill it in, but you did give me an idea on how to separate the info a bit more. Keep out the when each girl can be dated and what date they'd be on to be put at the list of what to do in each month...

The main problem is that there really isn't much of any variety, and I'm not being nearly as complex in the execution of the game. You'll have the same five options every month for everything but the dates, and if you pick any events to lock yourself into, you won't even get to pick that many of them per month.

As for when the actual dates would occur, they'll just get pushed to the end of each month so each month's stat boosts are applied first.

Although, I might make it more complicated LATER, and add it only certain events available on certain days of the week, which, when combined with the waifu dates, would make time management a lot more difficult, but I should finish the bones before I go about trying to add more superfluous stuff.
