Discuss the viability of the Warcraft Universe as a tabletop RPG setting.
Or, y'know, don't. I'm not your boss.

Isn't there already a Warcraft tabletop RPG?
>>
>>46130662
It's not very good, but has some interesting (noncanon) setting details.
>>
Building on an idea from the last thread- in the AU where Kel'Thuzad breaks away and forms the forsaken, how does his "annexation" of Guilneas in Cata differ from Sylvannas's
>>
>>46130598
>tfw you realize his beard isnt tucked into his belt its just the lower part is his bush braid
>>
>>46130662
There is, but it's pretty much a DnD 3.5 reskin. And also, the setting, thanks to a disease I refer to as MMOitis, is now plagued and unclean, so people like to discuss necessary retcons and alterations they'd make for a less clunky, more cohesive Warcraft universe that doesn't revolve around selling expansions and keeping people hooked in for subscription time.

Unholy Death Knight is atrocious, all versions.

Marksman Hunter are all pretty sexy (hell, all the Hunter ones are pretty great).

Arcane Mage looks like it's straight out of Yuna's armory in Final Fantasy X.

Fire Mage is pretty cool.

Frost Mage ranges from neat to okay.

>DK
Stupid that you're forced to dual wield as Frost, but the story's fine from what I hear.
Blood's weapon has nothing to do with DKs.
Unholy's weapon shares the same basic questline as Balance and some rogue spec, from what I hear, so that's stupid.

>DH
No clue, but both sets of glaives look cool as hell- and the addition to lore of a race that was completely fel-immune is pretty goddamn huge.

>Druid
Pretty cool all around.

>Hunter
IMO, they should've swapped beast mastery with survival in regards to the melee/shooting thing to be more in line with Rexxar and stuff.
The Beast Mastery gun looks ugly as hell, and the fact that BEAST MASTERY is tied to FUCKING MIMIRON, THE KEEPER OF INGENUITY, makes about no goddamn sense.

>Mage
Pretty cool all around. Getting a Guardian of Tisifal's staff or the sword of the last Phoenix King is pretty cool. Can't remember what the Arcane weapon is.

>Monk
Windwalker, the most played monk spec, ends up taking you to... Uldum. Because Uldum has a rich history of MONKS THAT ORIGINATED ON PANDARIA, APPARENTLY. I WANTED XUEN. Also, fist weapons are generally pretty dumb.

>Paladin
Prot feels very "meh" compared to Holy and Ret. Holy = Tomb of Tyr, get the weapon of a Keeper of Ulduar. Ret = Get the goddamn Ashbringer from a dying Tirion. Prot = Get a shield from ... some vrykul who thought Tyr was great.

>Priest
I know next to nothing about these.

>Rogue
Also these.

>Shaman
Scepter of Azshara is ugly and stupid. I'd sooner get something from, like... Neptulon himself, not some sea-themed bonking stick. Should've swapped Ra-den's Claws with the windwalker claws for monks from Uldum- would've made WAY more sense. At least Ra-Den is pretty much from Pandaria.

>Warlock
Scythe is wicked. Skull is great. Don't remember/care about the last one.

>Warrior
Hope you like swords- because all 3 specs use fucking swords. Only Arms has any somewhat pre-established lore.
>>
>>46130692
I liked what it did with the Cult of Forgotten Shadow. While they weren't unified, they still had enough influence to make Sylvanas a bit nervous. I think it would be rather nice to have a faction like that represented ingame, preaching to the new generation of Forsaken and whatnot.

Kind of disappointed. Ashbringer was already a letdown for me. I was hoping for something less gaudy. The Silver Hand, though, is the biggest disappointment. With a name like that, I would have expected to wield Uther's old piece, dusted off and dolled up for today's graphics. If I'm going to fight the Legion, I want to look like the heroes of old, dammit.

Balance and a Warlock spec.

It takes you into a crypt by Karazhan, but NOT FUCKING UPSIDE DOWN SINNERS GODDAMMIT BLIZZARD LET US THE FUCK INSIDE ALREADY!

It IS one of Tyr's shield ...sorta same for the hammer, the actual SIZE of Tyr is "Fucking Massive" (Pic fucking related) so chances are he used neither of them directly.

Well, I got the impression that the Forgotten Shadow was the most influential group not directly working for the Banshee Queen. The Echo of Life was mostly just a bunch of mages fucking around and getting high on magic.

No, I want to see the Cult of Forgotten Shadow indirectly competing with Sylvanas herself. The new Forsaken who join don't seem to be a lot like the old generation, who were more of the Lilian/Redpath variety of angry dudes, as the ones who join in the starting zone seem to be the more cheerful or dispassionate sorts. Neither of which seem like they would have as close an attachment to Sylvanas as the old generation who were led to freedom by her.

I want to see the political aftermath of Sylvanas's choice to raise so many new of the undead, as they seem like they would make excellent converts for anyone able to give a semi-convincing offer.

Yeah, that's definitely a bigger threat than the Legion. At least demons don't gain XP on kills. Fucking hell. Bringing it back would have been cool as hell.

Discipline - Light's Wrath
Obsessed with cleansing undead from the world of Azeroth, the fanatical Scarlet Crusade tried to create a second Ashbringer in the form of a staff. However, a dreadlord who had infiltrated the order intervened, interrupting their efforts and triggering a violent magical explosion. The damaged staff’s power proved nearly uncontrollable. After several wielders tried and failed to use the staff safely, the elite magi of the Kirin Tor hid it away lest it unleash further deadly calamities.

>>46131662
Old Gods are chump change to the Legion nowadays sadly.

They have "Void Lords" behind them who are worse though.

I don't like that dagger because ALL of the options for it have that forward hook to them and they use a stab animation that hits the enemy with the outer side, not that you stab much a a shadow priest but it just looks weird.

A horrifically unstable staff was born to be wielded by, at this point, the strongest disc priest in the world.
>>
>>46131786
Oh it gets better! lets go to the warlocks!

Destruction – Scepter of Sargeras
Created through incredible effort by hundreds of Sargeras' servants, this scepter can rip open dimensional gateways between worlds. It was entombed beneath the sea for centuries, then used by the orc shaman Ner'zhul to open the portals that tore the world of Draenor apart, leaving behind the shattered realm of Outland. The scepter was finally secured by the elite magi of the Kirin Tor. Unable to destroy it, they hid it away in a magically protected chamber and put it under eternal watch to prevent it from ever being used again.

Everything in Warcraft Chronicles.

For instance, the Void Lords are the true Big Bads and created the Old Gods.
>>
>>46131419
Uther was a failure so they didn't pick his stuff.
>>
>>46132952
Well... Yes. A fair bit, actually.

This post is kinda just one big spoiler, so skip down to the next one if you want.

1. Void Lords, beings of pure malefic hatred and a desire for complete destruction of all things, exist in the Void. They are so powerful they make Sargeras, ex-Champion of the Pantheon and current ruler of the Burning Legion, shit his pants at the idea of them entering the universe proper.

2. The Void Lords intend to accomplish their total unmaking of reality by corrupting a nascent Titan. Titans are formed, very rarely, in the hearts of planets. Or more accurately, they are the planets. Planets with souls become Titans. Anyway, they plan on corrupting one by sticking Old Gods onto it like big, gross pustules of darkness and tentacles.

3. They sent them scattering across the universe, and as luck would have it, 4 hit Azeroth. On a related note, another set almost completely corrupted another, separate Titan-soul. Sargeras was the one to find it, and he destroyed the planet to stop it. It's also why he went rogue when the Pantheon didn't agree that wiping out all planets (and all potential Titans) was the only safe way to keep the Void Lords from corrupting one of them.

4. Anyway, the Pantheon later found Azeroth and realized that were it to awaken, it would be the most powerful Titan yet- even more than Sargeras, and perhaps even strong enough to defeat the Void Lords themselves. Because just ripping up the old gods would cause too much damage, they sent their Titanforged armies down to fight and contain the Old Gods.

5. They succeeded. The Titanic Keepers (Thorim, Odyn, Hodir, Freya, Archaedas, Loken, Tyr) fought and contained all the Old Gods but one. Y'shaarj remained, and it was too dangerous to Azeroth to be allowed to live- so Aman'thul reached down and wrenched the mountainous Old God from the world and crushed it in his metallic, god-like hand.

>>
>>46133128
>desire for complete destruction of all things
Well, it's more like they want to consume it and remake it in their image.
>>
>>46133128

More spoilers, but I'm not covering this whole post in black, so whatever.

6. However, this left a gaping, bleeding wound- and it bled the pure, magic blood of a Titan. They knew that if they were to do this again, it would likely result in Azeroth's death before it was even born. So they had their keepers contain this font of pure magic energy that flowed from the heart of the world: The Well of Eternity.

7. Y'shaarj, although dead, had pieces of its body rain down on the world in its demise. Namely, its heart. Rather than destroy it, unaware of what corruptive power it may unleash, the highest of the Titanic Keepers, Highkeeper Ra, had it contained and sealed away, perhaps to study as to better understand their foes.
>>
>>46133128
>they are the planets

Does this mean that when the Titan awakens it inadvertently destroys all life on the planet?

DK:
Frost DK gets the reforged frostmourne, so they got the best deal of the 3.
Druid:
Definately Scythe of elune, finally we get to use it after .... 12 years of WoW.

Hunter:
Alleria's Bow is definately the best. at least they remember that arc.

Mage:
Arcane mage's staff is supposedly used by Aegwynn, while Frost mage's staff was used by the first guardian of Trisfal.
But Kael'thas's Blade is definitely the best.

Monk:
Brewmaster basically gets Jingu Bang and I would say its definitely the coolest.
and yes windwalker artifact story is stupid.

Priest:
all never came up before, discipline is the only one with a interesting storyline.

Rogue:
Assassination rogue gets Garona's dagger, which she used to kill King Llane in WC1.
The other 2 made on spot crap is not remotely as cool.

Shaman:
Doomhammer easily beat the other 2, although Claws of Ra-den is ok.

Warlock:
Destruction Warlock's Sceptre of Sargeras is the best.
It was used by the Avatar of Sargeras as he battled Aegwynn in Northend.
It was what Gul'dan died for.
It was whta Ner'zhul used to open the Dark Portal again and torn Draenor apart.
Very few artifact is as important as this one for Warcraft.

Warrior:
Why can't we get lothar's sword?
The only cool one is the Arms warrior artifact.

I like the idea of this AU, I think the primary difference would stem from Kel'Thuzad's reasoning for rebelling. Maybe he was just in it for the immortality, and took his first chance at free will when he saw it? A more evil leaning KT would probably work more subtly than Sylvanas. He did the whole Cult of the Damned thing in Lordaeron, he could do something similar in Gilneas. Even if he didn't necessarily want to stay in Garrosh's good graces, he probably wouldn't be so self centered as to blatantly piss his allies off without good reason.

It's entirely possible that things continue to live on said Titan... Or considering how the Pantheon feels, they'd just teleport all living things to another, soulless planet while getting acquainted with their new friend. Oh, I forgot one thing.

Sargeras began the Burning Legion by destroying the prison-world of Mardum, which filled him with fel energy from eons of their hatred and corruption. After finding out, the Pantheon intended to stop him, letting him know that there was hope in Azeroth- that this new Titan could stop the Void Gods.

Naturally, he responded by killing every last one of them because they wouldn't let his Burning Crusade continue, beginning with his lieutenant Aggramar.

Norgannon managed to evacuate their souls back to the Keepers on Azeroth, though none of the keepers understood what had happened except for Ra. Long story short, he went into a several-thousand-year depression after finding out the Pantheon was dead.

It's not established if the souls remain inert inside said keepers, or if they simply faded away into nothing after said keepers weren't aware of what was going on.

Doomhammer suffers a lot from being a big change in look to match up with the TWF Shaman.

I'm vaguely sad that the Doomhammer doesn't have a Warrior version. I mean...it's the Doomhammer, the weapon of one of the most notable warriors in the entire setting.
>>
>>46133358
They changed doomhammer's setting too much around WoD and its now an obvious shaman weapon.

I am just pissed they don't give warrior something like Lothar's Sword (which people argued like mad about in BWL) or Trol'kalar.

About Trol'kalar...

Odds are that someone else is wielding it.

Thoras Trollbane is getting raised as a DK to be one of the new Four Horsemen.

The other confirmed one is General Nazgrim.

It's exceedingly rare that a Titan-soul forms. Like, to the point that the Titans have been searching for probably several hundred thousand years, minimum, and they found, uh... 9 of them (Aman'thul, Eonar, Sargeras, Khaz'goroth, Golganneth, Aggramar, Norgannon, unnamed nascent Titan that Sargeras destroyed, and Azeroth) possibly more that are either still forming or have been destroyed by Sargeras.

Rather like this to be honest, hell I ahve about three or so hours form staying up through the night to waste so let's get into it.

Could the main motivation be set up that ol' KT did want to be immortal and just take the time to learn more about necromancy? I mean christ he's like the Anti-Jaina, a guy whose not wanting to be botehred with the concerns of the living so as to study more of teh forbiddon and arcane tomes of lore.

As for teh annexation for Gilneas? Two words, Mass. Teleport. Jaina could do that with a specilized strike team to insert into Undercity how easy and terrifying would it be if KT trained up some mages and had them just cause merry hell on Gilneas?

None of this plague shit either, I think the fact that Gilneans are able to wield natural druidic magic would intrigue the bugger that he would want the land unspoiled for testing, granted having actual help that listened to his damn orders might be hard, but I'm pretty sure he would be good about it.

Oh man, what would they even call his title? Slyvi has the Banshee Queen, would that make KT the Wizard King or something or a lich king? Since he's technically more a lich than arthas was.

Considering the Titans are described as having mountains and oceans on their skin, I think the planet just sort of...unfolds into a humanoid figure, and life keeps on as normal except you're now all living on a person-shaped planet that goes walking around the universe.

Considering the Azeroth-Titan is heavily hinted to be Elune (or rather, Elune is the soul of the still sleeping Titan), the next big war between Horde and Alliance will probably be about who gets to live on her boobs.

Though the other three constantly trying to tank was a serious issue. They though they could handle it. They couldn't. Meant I had to spam heal to the point where I started pulling aggro off all of them just trying to keep them alive.

Though it was Wailing Caverns, and they did all run off ahead during the escort Muyoh portion. Nothing quite like having to fight off a bunch of mobs solo, even after I told them to stick with the cow. But I had full heirlooms, so at least I could handle it.

Make it an immediate interrupt power. So you are doing silence like you do to bosses. To interrupt rather than lock people down.

Picking out what it can stop could be a bit tricky though as most enemies don't have encounter/daily powers OR a listing as 'Arcane' or such. So I'd be more likely to make it a general purpose NAD boost. As spells almost never touch AC and most weapon attacks hit AC.

Actually, the way they film cinematics is very similar to how you film in the real world. They literally add in the models, the animations, and the light sources. Then they place virtual cameras and film in the virtual environment. That face model of sylvanas is actually how she looks.

When he found out Arthas was allergic to cats. More likely in this AU Kel'Thuzad values the members of the cult of the damned and the LK doesn't, there might be a disagreement involving their quest for immortality vs their expendability as agents of the scourge. You can't make KT too good natured, but giving him a soft spot for his Cult of the Damned would mirror Sylvanas's original soft spot for Quel'Thalas before she went full saturday morning cartoon villain.
>>
>>46140224

Well, the swimsuit thing IS kinda stupid. I think people have been bitching about that for a long, long time. Especially when it comes to characters like Sylvanas or the head of the Red Dragons.

And LK did have the BRILLIANT plan of letting a bunch of heroes slaughter his minions (who Kel likely had a hand in raising) so he could have a -chance- at getting better minions.

That would probably seem really wasteful to Kel'Thuzad. Kel did oversee feeding zombies that were too weak to fight to a giant zombie dog, but at least that has a direct effect of converting non-viable troops into a raid boss.

Well first, Kel'thuzad is a much calmer and analytical mind than Sylvanas, who was a hothead in life as undeath and on top of that a bitter bitch hellbent on making a statement with her actions. He would try to be precise and cautious with his resources.

So Kel'Thuzad would definitely absorb his Cult of the Damned into the Forsaken's ranks and attempt to build up sleeper cells throughout Gilneas as opposed to Sylvanas going on a full offensive.

>>46133316
In the patch trailer that announces Naxxramas back in vanilla, they show kel'Thuzad already wavering in his dedication to the Lich King. In an AU where Kel'Thuzad didn't serve out of dedication, which is the prerequisite for him defecting in the first place, it would probably be only the mind control that kept him in line.

When he finally is allowed to break off the scourge, he'd already have a sizeable force of spies and sleeper agents all across Lordaero, which make it all the easier to claim the Undercity together with the free undead. Which would probably lead to the first major difference: Kel'Thuzad doesn't need Varimathras, so the dreadlord gets the axe after being defeated.

It would also probably lead to never working with Garithos, because Garry knows that the fall of Lordaeron is largely on Kelly's hands and wouldn't work with him even if he'd got a boney reacharound, so Garithos presumably survives a little longer and continues the war against Scourge and now Forsaken.

>>46138828
Bringing Kelly into the Horde will require an even bigger asspull than Sylvanas.
He is would definitely be an extremely powerful ally because, next to his absurd magical powerlevel, he's also got a vast sleeper network of what boils down to religious extremists. But he's also got enormeous moral baggage, even more than Sylvanas at that point, and not even the Tauren who were crucial in accepting the Forsaken in the canon would judge him "redeemable", possibly viewing him far too gone.

She still has the same basic "skeleton". A lot of models in WoW do that; you have a bunch of creatures that do look different but still have the same animations and same basic shape. As such while they could give Ysera pants and purple skin they probably couldn't alter her basic body shape or style of clothign too much or it'd messed up the animations. So she's still extremely similar to Alex.

I don't think the Tauren would want help from an arcanist necromancer in managing their crop growth. Arcanists force the natural world and bend reality to an extend according to their will, which goes against the Tauren mindset that nature must be asked to help the caster, hence their druidist religion.

The orcs would have even more beef with Kelly, because he's actively dabbled with demon magic in summoning Archimonde, plus Jaina probably hates his guts and Thrall wouldn't want to upset his sister-standin, but they would probably view reverse-engineered necromancy-healing as a necessary evil to quickly get their warriors going, again.

KT's strongest argument is the fact that he has an extremely powerful military presence against the alliance due to sheer numbers, but is also capable to claim strategic assets without much damage due his cult agents subverting the enemy military from within.

This however leads to the question if AU Horde would even be in a cold war situation with the alliance, at large, or if they focused entirely on Kalimdor.

Power-levels-wise, Jaina would blast Sylvanas into giblets so fine that even the val'kyr couldn't rez her. As >>46141669 said, she's got the power of the Thunder-King (and a portion of Ra-Den's, as a result) in the Staff of Antonidas. That, and she can freeze just about anybody, including the goddamn Lich King.

However, due to it likely being written by Kosak, Sylvanas would somehow dodge all of Jaina's spells and shoot her in the heart with a black arrow. All the while, Jaina would be screaming epithets about the Horde to paint her as a lunatic that wants to murder orc babies.

If you're talking about a sexy encounter, Sylvanas would win because she's the bigger slut with much more experience.

I would actually be interested if he somehow deposes Sylvania as a faction leader in legion . After all, second gen forsaken are not affiliated with the old scourge. Additionally having him around as an ambassador in legion maybe could allow him to subvert, I mean, familiarize himself with the leadership

It makes zero fucking sense for the Horde to ally with KT OR the current Forsaken anyway.
If a strong undead presence sits in Lordaeron, it's only good for the Horde. That way, the Alliance can't just suddenly decide to go to Kalimdor and push their shit in, becose it's occupied with reclaiming Lordaeron. The Horde getting involved in that shit when they are already fucked up and nearing extinction as is is fucking stupid.

Horde should have been Orcs, Trolls, Tauren, Ogres and sitting on Kalimdor only, Alliance should have been Humans, Dwarves, Gnomes and High Elves, sitting on Azeroth.
If you absolutely NEED to involve Night Elves, give them to the Horde. It's still dumb but leagues better than the fucking Alliance.

To be honest, Y'shaarj was the first one to die, because he was the biggest. Not because he was the most dangerous, that one was good ol' Yoggy.

The only ones having any beef with the orcs on Kalimdor so big that it has more importance than fending off the undead right at their doorstep would be Kul'Tiras. Their regent was killed in action by the Horde, and even though their retaliation was legitimate, it's a stain on their honour.

Apart from that, Kul'Tiras is sufficiently far away from Lordaeron's shores and they probably have very strict rules of import. So they are not in the same immediate danger as the other human kingdoms.

However it is still just one kingdom's military force, and they don't even have a solid foothold apart from Theramore, but Jaina has officially declared neutrality. So Kul'Tiras arrives on a distant continent with no infrastructure to their benefit and completely outnumbered, because it apparently is easy as shit to rally Tauren, ogres and trolls as auxiliaries for the orcish warriors.

Dalaran isn't even a threat. Ignoring WoW-lore, they all abandoned their citystate and fled to the neighbouring kingdoms that would take them, so mostly Stromgarde. Incorporating WoW-lore, they're so focused on surviving under their magical dome and trying to rebuild while surrounded by hordes of undead that mustering a military force and send it to a whole other continent is the very bottom of their priorities.

>>46141882
That's probably Kelly's biggest chance to receive horde auxilieres.
>>
>>46133198
Oh yeah, and they knew that the heart was corruptive. It was kept, rather than destroyed, so they could study old gods, and find a way to fight them. It was completely intentional, but the sha wasnt.

Nah, Y'shaarj was the most powerful.

Anduin's Legion concept art looks great. But the model is... god awful does not begin to describe it.

I'm hoping really, really hard that's just a thrown together placeholder skin and he won't look shit in live. But that chin, my god, no!

Chill, Dr. Phil.

Yes, having the Horde under Thrall enter a conflict on a whole other continent against people that they technically want to forget is stupid and is purely a construct to support the faction war in WoW.

But that is not the point of the discussion. The discussion is "in AU where Kelly Thursday is head of the Forsaken, how would it integrate into canon Horde?"

If you've followed the other posts that lead up to mine, you already see that there's a major problem if we approach this scenario with sensible logic. Nobody wants to hang out with the spoopy kids.

We're still going through the possibilities, because it's entirely a "what if" discussion.

Even a single human kingdom would out numbered the Horde by a landslide back in WC3.
Thrall's Horde only consist of interment camp Orcs and the rogue warsong clan.
Orcs only got their number super pumped up around Cata.

Also, Kul'Tiras took over Theramore in the MU too.

Now I want KT to go undercover as 'Kelly Thursday' a suspiciously archlich-looking mustached NPC who gives out quests

I can agree on the "new horde" being vastly outnumbered, but that is why they bring their friends, which already evens the odds. But Kul'tiras occupied Theramore and had to officially retreat after Daelin was deaded, at least by TFT.

And even if Kul'Tiras still occupied Theramore, it is a single portcity, probably not even big enough to house the full military power of Kul'Tiras. The rest of the immediate territory is controlled by the Horde, barely charted by the alliance, so this whole affair is like the Romans trying to invade Britannia north of the Hadrian's wall or Germania
>>
>>46142762
Even with their "Friends" (which ogres weren't, Rexxar was the one who forced them into the horde) Kul'tiras still had the number, which is why you needed the super heros.

Officially retreat? you still have Kul'tiras marine in Vanilla WoW

The territory is as uncharted to the Horde as it is to the Allliance.
They both made shore around the same time, are you even talking sense?

I never get why people vouching for horde always talks like they never played the game.

None of the old gods had a proper chance to win, but Yoggy had those big cthulu men (the general from Ulduar) that fucked the titan forged up. So he was pretty much the only one to actually stand a chance, because his army was superior.

Y'shaarj was only beaten with direct Titan intervention.

First RTS I ever played. I was nine, and was the tactical retard that implies. I'm still terrible at RTS, but I still -love- RTS. Maybe I'm a masochist.

Yshaarj was scary enough the Titan forged couldn't even get close, hence the Hand-of-god moment.

The Tauren have lived up and down the barrens for generations. They have the land charted. By extension, that means that the orcs have at least guides that help them chart the land.

Yes, I am talking sense because I am talking about Daelin Proudmoore's forces. They didn't arrive on Kalimdor until 4 months after the battle at mount Hyjal, at least that's what I read from the manual text from TFT. Whatever Kul'Tiras based forces had arrived with Jaina in RoC were now part of her military, not Kul'Tiras', anymore.

And Daelin's strikeforce had to pull out of Theramore. Those Marines sit in Durotar and are a minor outpost, at best. I admit that is at least "some" infrastructure in favour of a Kul'Tiras invasion. It is still a minor base, if it can be called that, at all.

Don't try to throw your insinuatious shit at me.
>>
>>46143268
That was mainly because the titans thought it didnt matter if they just killed it personally. It was after this, they realised how far their roots had taken hold, and decided to be passive, and build prisons instead. And for Yoggy, they couldnt even get the army into his land, they had to mindcontrol/ illusion magic the army to death.
>>
>>46143210
They were a scout force for Lieutenant Alverold's fleet.
Even through the guy is forgotten by Bliz don't mean they didn't exist.

For the love of god, read your lore, do your quest, before you come on the board and spew non-sense.
>>
>>46143329
>That was mainly because the titans thought it didnt matter if they just killed it personally.

They always knew it mattered, which is why the Titan-forged were created in the first place, they just did know how much.
Y'shaarj was the only one they couldn't beat.
>>
>>46143291
The Tauren were also near extinct when Orc found them.
Not like Barren need a lot of charting to begin with. its a BARREN.

And since they took over Theramore they would had access to every information Theramore had, so that's a moot point.

There's a 2nd fleet that BZ forgot to address after too many change in writers.

you are throwing shits you made up on the board, why do you expect people won't do the same thing to you again?
>>
>>46143433
>Bloodhoof Tauren
Minor correction. It was Cairne's tribe in particular that was on the run from the Kolkar and other tribes of centaurs that pushed them out of Mulgore. The tribes in the Thousand Needles were under little threat to the centaur that roamed the lands below, likewise with the ones in Feralas.

But it was Cairne's reclaiming of Thunder Bluff with the aid of the Horde that brought most of the tauren tribes together to their ancestral home.
>>
>>46143416
Well, yes, Y'shaarj began to corrupt the titan forged, but they did manage to get to the very god itself, they didnt even get to Yoggy. And imo the power of the individual old gods (however that actually is measured) cant be compared to their armies, and other powers. Yoggy did show the most resistance to the armies. Its not really written whether or not the titans would have intervened with Yoggy if they could, or not.

>>46143575
There's never really any explanation of why Mulgore wasn't a huge ambush since if it was so verdant the Centaur should already have been there ruining it.

>>46143433
In WC3 at least the barrens had a LOT of rock formations and thickets to force certain pathways on people.
