Can someone give an ELI5 of an experiment of quantum entanglement which demonstrates that it's not simply: this box contains a red ball, this one contains a blue ball, when I open a box and get a blue ball I know instantly the other has red?

Like can we take a measurement which gives one particle a certain energy level and then observe that exact same energy level in the other particle?

Basically I'm looking for someone to prove beyond a doubt that we can witness spooky action at a distance.

is our brain deterministic?

Are all physical things deterministic ? Or do interdimensional souls that are not bound to the laws of universe manipulate our brains ?

Yes. We tend to generalize everything.

it's notation. it works nice in bigger expressions
basically ^0 means you're taking an empty product which is by convention the identity
>>
>>7967427
Because we defined it that way.

Does the fact that all electrons in the universe are identical, indicate that reality might be simulated ?
72 posts and 4 images submitted.

Nah, it just means that electrons are made up of even smaller parts.
>>
>>7967289
nah you mom spreading her legs is what indicates that reality might be simulated.
>>
Not it means all electrons are actually just the same electron.

Hey /sci/,
I am in the 4th year of Computer Science but my writing is very bad, which makes my life difficult since I want to follow academic carrer. What could I do to improve my writing skills?

Generally, reading helps your writing.
>>
>>7966588

READ ANYTHING, ANYTHING AT ALL THAT ENGAGES YOU, AND THEN WRITE ABOUT IT. Start a blog and write pieces for it. Post your things on your blog. Do not expect a following; simply write for yourself, write things that you can live with, and post them. By reading, you will learn the relevant clauses, phrases etc which are useful. Work on parroting enough of those clauses often enough (a process that writers have to go through) and in different enough contexts, and eventually you will have a voice of your own.

This is why I recommend fictional narratives that you might enjoy, though strictly speaking what you really need to do is to read anything that holds your interest. Fiction, poetry, and philosophy are valuable to the scientist who must learn to write effectively, because in addition to their thought experiments and motivational myths (sometimes harmful), the unscientific literature /teaches you how to write to humans/. If you can make a right reference, or turn a right phrase, in addition to your data, then your case will be sufficiently emotionally compelling (shown by science to be critical to human judgment), along with your data, to actually influence people somewhat. This is rhetoric, rhetoric uses both reason and emotion.

In much of acaedmia, you must be rhetorically effective, especially in your native language whatever it is, in whatever you wish to do, if you wish to achieve your end OP.

Read. Write. Read. Write. Read. Write. Start somewhere. Find excuses to read and write. Make sure that the things that you read and write about, are of interest to you, because otherwise you will not be motivated to read and write about them. If and when you find something that you care about very much, the rest will become simpler.

So i have a small lithium disc battery I need recharged, however there isn't a panel to get to said battery. This battery is also like 10 years old, but it still gives off a very small amount of power. The battery is located inside a translucent object and there is a hole large enough to stick stuff into in order to reach the battery and the components that touch the battery.

So, how do I change this up so it actually works?

You fucked up. You'll either need to go to grad school, become proficient at coding, or convince some place that you enough of a genius to justify hiring you without experience.

What are some interesting properties of a smooth gradient that goes from dense in points to zero points per local volume?
What is an example of a completely uniform way to fill space with points in such a way? Can a function have a solution set that acts like such a gradient?

???

Thus far if I have seen this in an expression I have just evaluated it twice, once as +1 and once as -1 and they have both turned out the same.

But what is the actual answer and why?
