I don't like anime so I saw the live action Japanese movies and they were good. Don't know anything about the anime. About the only anime that I ever liked was the original Voltron as a kid, then Cowboy Bebop and Black Lagoon. My girl friend is trying to get me into Attack on Titan but I'm 40 and I really don't care to waste my time on cartoons.

I have high hopes. Netflix puts out a lot of garbage, but every once in a while they strike gold.

My main hope is that it brings anime/manga-like stories to the mainstream so maybe Hollywood can stop churning out remakes and reboots and sequels and shit. So much originality in the stories and characters coming out of Japan.

Death note is a good place to start. Bring a couple animes to the live action arena but in a good way and maybe people will set their standards higher...? But I'm an optimist
