Despite this being an anonymous board that prides itself on this fact - there are people amongst us who believe themselves to be particularly special and above all others here. They believe that their posts and opinions are more highly valued and more important than the contributions of others - these people are known as tripfags.

They are a rotten pustulent cancer that has destroyed this board - along with their allies: The Karenposters and the miscellaneous food item posters - they have worked tirelessly to derail all forms of rational discussion in favour of their rampant egomania. Their almost unquenchable narcissism has derailed countless discussion and caused a great rift between the formerly united posters of Brit/pol/.
The Tripcunt is immunized against all dangers: one may call him a narcissist, egomaniac, arsehole, attention seeker, it all runs off him like water off a raincoat. But tell people to filter his tripcode and you will be astonished at how he recoils, how injured he is, how he suddenly shrinks back: “I’ve been found out.”
You can stop tripfags by simply not responding to them ever. You can hide and filter tripcodes by going to the [SETTINGS] link at the bottom of the page and adding their tripcode to the FILTER option. BE SURE TO HIDE POST STUBS.

This will improve your experience here tenfold - as it has done mine.
TRIPCODES TO ADD TO THE FILTER LIST!

Her campaign was awful, but if Labour manage to force another election her next one could be even worse.

Even if someone replaces her, they'd probably be just as shit, run just as shit a campaign and lose. Look at this poll, as shit as May is all potential replacements make the Tories less popular:

It won't redpill people. It was revealed that girls were being pimped out by Paki rape gangs and the local governments covered it up, and people don't give a shit. We get repeated terrorist attacks, and it's still worse to be racist. Labour were in power from 1997 - 2010, and I bet they only lost because of 2 years of the Great Recession, and when they lost we still had a hung parliament.

It would likely take 10-15 years for people to think poorly of Corbyn's government, even if we ended up like Venezuela.

Let it burn.

Never understood the NHS meme anyway. Its a load of shit and doesn't work half the time.

When I first moved to England I had no idea how it worked. Ended up with a bad ear infection and needed my ear to be syringed which is a fairly simple job but its a pain in the arse because you go deaf in your ear while its blocked.

Went to my GP to try book an appointment, 4 week waiting list, told to go to A+E. Go to A+E, waiting for nurse to do procedure for a few hours, there are people there with bad wounds, broken limbs among others like me with superficial problems like coughs, colds, eye infections and other things.

NHS is a crock of shit and I have zero idea how modern day Brits can love it so much. Just buy health insurance and go private. Faster, more effective and efficient.

Seconded:
- Older generation had free Uni access, claims we can't afford it now (and it was NuLabour who took that away, Tories never touched it)
- Older generation had better funded schools and hospitals than we do, say we can't afford it now
- Older generation had better workers rights and much better benefit system, says we can't afford it now
- Worst of all, Older generation guaranteed Council House then got to BUY THOSE HOUSES for nothing, claims we can't afford any more

But talk about going anywhere near the triple lock and they balk, only reason Tories don't have a majority now is because of the dementia tax, Theresa the retard forgot to look after her base.

The elderly are selfish cunts basically. Except for my nan, she'll always vote Labour because scouse nan's are boss.

The NHS at the moment is a proper pain in the ear, yes.

I feel like the current choice as far as us regular blokes go as "do you want to wait between 2 weeks and 6 months for adequate healthcare?" or "do you want to go private for a few and nip it in the bud?"

Best mate is currently on a 6 month waiting list to get his MS medication sorted. That's right, a degenerative illness, where the goal is to act swiftly, has a 6 month waiting list due to a lack in consultants

Yeah I know I am a cunt. Doesn't bother me though. I don't rent it out but I do let friends who want to visit London for a city break use it. That's charitable enough.

You don't have to be rich to summer somewhere else. Just smart enough to make it work for you. Your peasant tier mentality is why you have to rely on handouts and freebies from other peoples hard labour.

If Jezza thinks he's getting a penny out of me or people like me he's having a laugh. A tiny percentage of our wealth is in the UK and if it really got bad I'd just leave. No skin off my nose really. Meanwhile Jezza's real target is the working class and middle class, prepare your arses for good old rodgering when your taxed to the hilt for simply wanting work to live and not live to work. All so that he can bankroll to import of hundreds of thousand of future Labour voters into the country.

Do you really think that means anything? And you're right the waiting lists are too long and people are using A&E inapproriately, because the NHS isn't getting the funding it needs. When it's well funded single-payer universal is the most efficient healthcare method, just look at the fact that the USA spends a higher percentage of it's GOVERNMENT spending on healthcare than UK does, even though less than 50% of Yanks are covered by gov't healthcare and UK covers 100%.

Woke up in the middle of the night to see a black figure in the corner of my room pointing to me. Initially I'd told myself it was sleep paralysis, but I quickly realised I could move.

I sat up, thinking it was an illusion and would go away, yet this figure, with pink, girlish eyes continued to point at me, with a long, slender, white hand.

I was incredibly frightened, yet the utter futility of screaming seemed apparent to me immediately; this creature was not of our world.

A wave of the deepest melancholy then overcame me, and I recoiled back under the covers, and began to recite prayer. I am not a believer in God, but I needed this intense sadness to stop, this heavy loneliness that the creature had thrust upon me, and so out of desperation I prayed.

The covers were then blown off of me, and the creature had gone. I was alone.

I have never told anyone in person about this, and do not intend to, lest I upset the entity, and it visits me once again and I the mental anguish and torment returns.

how do you figure this? i can have a UK company that has a contract with my offshore company and
the UK makes no profit, might not even break even every year so i get tax breaks. besides the taxes needed to operate such as VAT and local rates it would pay no corporation tax to the taxman.

the only hassle with avoiding paying tax by using offshore entities is fulfilling the Know Your Customer stuff the bank wants to pass their money laundering checks.

I don't really consider myself rich compared to most of my peers. I'm still on a low rung on the ladder. I have to budget for things.

If I'm honest with you I would put my place up on AirBnB just to cover the cost of my house cleaner while I am away but I just can't stand the idea of letting other people touch and use my things. My family had a condo in Vermont that we let out one year to see what it was like and the place ended up being wrecked by a load of frat boy snowboarders. Can't trust the great unwashed.

>There are easy ways to crack down on cunts like you who keep their wealth in other countries

Yeah yeah, we've heard this time and again even in countries that have elected far left "kill the rich" parties. Nothing changes, power corrupts.

>And if you want to keep doing business in the UK

I don't run a business as such but if I did ( and I know people who do) they would just leave and set up elsewhere. Its one of the few advantages of the globalised age. Even if you own a building you can sell it for far more than you bought it for and you can replace staff easily.

> follow Jezza's tax laws

Either you don't know how your democracy works or you seem to think that he will be elected as some sort of supreme leader where he can make up and enforce whatever laws he wants unopposed.

Don't forget that while Labour party members love Kim Jong Corbyn, the parliamentary party is much more divided on him.

>Free uni .... when only a fraction of the population went because they were smart enough to put it to some use.
I don't disagree with you to be honest. I think we've made far too many jobs 'degree level', which means less working class people can rise to those jobs. And too many people getting degrees means loads of graduates being bartenders or carers because there's fuck all else.

But you'll notice the massive rise in the percentage of people going to uni happened under NuLabour when they introduced fees. When the uni's charge fee's it's harder for the gov't to regulate the places.

Besides, Corbyn will at least invest in practical skills training as an alternative to Uni so less academic people still have a chance to do well.

Music fans typically flock to Glastonbury to see their favourite acts live, but as the final day wore on it was the political campaigners who emerged as the unlikely hits of the festival.

Founder Michael Eavis took to the stage with a naked Rachel Rousham from the White Ribbon Alliance, accompanied by members of the Avalonian Choir for a pro-feminist event.

Ms Rousham was completely unclothed, save for body paint covering her breasts, a depiction of the reproductive organs on her stomach and the words 'resist' and 'persist' drawn on her legs.

The White Ribbon Alliance campaigns for the rights of all women to give birth safely, and is using this year's festival to draw attention to women who have come to the UK as migrants and refugees and the issues they may be facing.

As I said its all down to perspective. I get envious of other people I associate with because while I can just comfortably afford a place in London and the lifestyle that goes with it but others I know are buying their first yachts and property in Monaco or get invited to purchase upcoming supercars.

Its all good though because that envy is what drives ambition and makes you want to get into a place where you can have the same privileges. Its keeps you in check so you don't get lazy and stay at the same level all your life.

It will probably so condescending as fuck coming from me but don't keep dreaming about it. Go do everything you can to make it happen. You just have to live and breath it everyday of your life until you make it happen.

>>131289539

Why would you need a loan of $1m to buy a place for $300k? Every wonder why you still live on an estate?

And no, none of my friends would water my plants for me. In all likelihood they would just pay one of their people to go do it for them.

I don't see what the problem is. It took me ages to get my herbs growing properly and I need them for cooking, so investing £60 for my cleaning lady to drop in to water them twice per week is worth it for me. Also as I said she keeps the apartment dust free and collects my post/parcels from the foyer.

I'm not just arguing with a poorer person, I'm arguing with a blindly brainwashed socialist who just hates people who earn more than him. If he devoted his energy toward improving his financial situation then maybe he'd be happier and less resentful.

The thing with these Corbyn fans is that they seem to think when you are wealthier than them you have your millions sitting in the bank but meanwhile you are just living a life not to different from them. Working 9 to 5, maybe have the odd pint after work, take away on the Friday and Saturday night and a few dvds.

In reality the cost of wealthy is vastly more complex than they care about. So someone earning lets say 150k per year, he's generally only going to mix with other people earning that amount or above. So he has to compete with them, they buy a new Jaguar and Merc then he has to, their kids go to a certain private school then he has to send his there or somewhere better. You have functions and such that you HAVE to attend or you network gets fucked.

The more money you have then more money you have to spend. Its all relative and proportionate until you get to the multimillionaire level. Average working joe who earns 30k p.a spends £2k to take his family on holiday to Benidorm for two weeks. High-earner Joe who earns £150k spends £18k to take his family to Saint-Tropez for two weeks.
>>

Debatable, most septic hospitals do poorer than European ones when it comes to basic care.

Thames Water's fine, but NatRail has a problem of accountability more than anything else. Because it's cheaper to keep operating a less-than-optimal service they'll keep doing it and no one can stop them, which is a problem because it fucks with commuters who don't have an alternative other than not work, which is bad for obvious reasons. It's the worst in the East of the country, and there's certainly room for improvement nationwide, but I agree it's far from awful.

I don't view it as a waste, I pay someone to do a job for me. Her work isn't a waste in my opinion. Not quite. Ours is kind of like cutting out the middle-man; instead of paying taxes for insurance, which is then paid to privately run hospitals to cover the cost of specific treatment an individual receives, we just give the money straight to the hospitals.
Granted, it sounds like it's just a more streamlined version, but the difference is really in who runs the hospitals.

Is there an only missing from that sentence? I'm gonna assume there is before I answer.

Of course you can have your £18k holidays and your absurdly expensive cars, under Corbyn you can still have those things. You'll need to pay more tax, because our public services are crumbling and we have a terrible housing crisis, but he isn't outlawing private industry and instituting state socialism. You can do what you want with your money.

But your argument that rich people aren't living a life 'that different' because £18k holidays and fancy cars and private schools are not 'luxuries' is retarded.

And Ketamine is a necessity, is it? So you'd spend your money on drugs instead of investing it. Fair play, that's your choice and I am happy for you.

But why not channel that desire into something more positive. Instead of scrounging the money together to buy a tenners worth of Ket why not go back to university and train to become a vet.

Then you can charge people hundreds per consultation and have access to all the Ketamine you could dream of.

And there you go, some sort of an agreement at last. You do think its a good thing that I pay someone a fair wage to do some fair work. Which she then spends on looking after her family and within the local community. If Corbyn chased everyone who has earns over 100k out of the country then think of how many people would go unemployed.

Well I did vote for Corbyn, he'll get rid of fees so I can get a vet science degree if I wanted, which I fucking don't. I already have a degree anyway, but it's in sociology and history. Since I decided not to be a teacher halfway through, I'm working for minimum wage and still on the estate despite being educated.

Why do I need to pay more tax for something that I never use?

I don't use the NHS and hopefully will never need it in an emergency. My health insurance will cover my needs privately should I ever contract a dangerous illness.

I don't use the limited dental services on offer.

My fiancée never uses them either. Our children have been delivered in private hospitals. So on top of costing the taxpayer nothing, we also didn't take up a space for another patient in a public ward.

My kids will be going to private school, probably not in the UK. So there is another service I am forgoing.

My parents will never be in a state funded care home.

Still though even if I never use any of these services, I don't mind paying a fair amount of tax to ensure that society maintains a fair standard of living. What you are asking for is too much. The problem isn't the money isn't there, the problem is that it is being sucked away by leeches that don't deserve it. Eliminate healthcare and welfare fraud first, trim the fat in public services, then come to me and show me why you need more of my earnings.

But until then fuck off or else I will fuck off.

The reason healthcare and welfare fraud don't get eliminated is because they're reduced to the stage where the costs involved in detecting it are more than the cost of tolerating it. It's something that never gets discussed when people talk about eliminating waste.

No matter how well you control fraud, you eventually hit a certain point where it costs more than £100 to prevent £100 worth of fraud.

Middle class leftie circle-jerk about how virtuous and pro-poor and pro-minority they are, while charging an exorbitant amount for entry and building a huge fence to keep said poor and minorities out.
With some music.

Pepe worship was funny at first. When it transferred into real world politics it became cringe. Spencer has been a background figure on /pol/ for a long time now anyway.

Well there is your problem. If you want to pursue a career in either of those discipline you need a doctorate in this day and age. I know because my partner literally just finished her PhD in contemporary British history a few weeks ago and is still finding it a pain in the arse to secure employment in what she wants to do.

I don't believe that if Corbyn even got into government that he would last very long as leader. The Blairites would have him shafted within a few months and a new more moderate PM would be put in place.

So what are you exactly if you are more radical than Jezza? A nationalist Bolshevik?

>Eliminate healthcare and welfare fraud first, trim the fat in public services, then come to me and show me why you need more of my earnings.
Welfare fraud is miniscule, an overblown problem. DWP saves more money from people not claiming things they're entitled to, than it loses from fraud. Also see (>>131294853) regarding health fraud.

There is no 'fat' left to be trimmed in public services. I worked as a HCA during Uni, the 'fat' people talk about is usually admin staff, but guess what? When you cut admin staff, you end up with frontline staff who are usually paid more and have more training having to do menial admin tasks and that creates staffing problems.

And congratulations you use private health, education and social care. You still need to pay more for those services, because you can fucking afford it. Regardless of if you ever get burgled, or have a fire, you need to pay for well funded police and fire services because that's how society works.

Also, don't forget that you lot (rich people) cheat more money from the system with tax avoidance and evasion than my lot (povvos) do from benefit fraud.

The top 10% of earners contribute 50% of all income tax.

The rich literally sponsor state services.

I know, it's bullshit. I wanted to teach when I started my degree, wouldn't need PhD for that, but realised halfway through teaching is bullshit.

If Corbyn won an election and the Blairites tried a coup there'd be mayhem in the streets. Blairites are power hungry fuckers, they hated Corbyn because they thought him unelectable. If he got elected they'd bend over and let him do whatever.

>So what are you exactly if you are more radical than Jezza? A nationalist Bolshevik?
Kek I'm a libertarian socialist myself. My biggest policy idea is a 1/10 law, namely that no company could pay it's lowest paid employee more than ten times less than it's highest paid/profiting employee or owner made from the company.
>>
>>131294853

I'd really like to see hard data on that but even if it is true, its still immoral and wrong that someone stealing £100 is let away with it.

They aren't even playing the system, they are brazenly stealing from it. The whole point of law and order is that all crimes are at least attempted to be curbed. Its akin to someone stealing £50 from your wallet but you not wanting to chase after them because you might get your new £50 runners dirty.

There is a logic in what you say but the overall cost to society much graver than losing £200 finding and prosecuting a thief.
>>
>>131295505
Yeah, because they can afford to. All that money the top 10% make comes from the blood sweat & tears of the bottom 90%.

So you want a minimal state that nevertheless is interventionist and somehow manages to centrally administer society?

Retard.
>>
>>131295927
Nah, my idea of Libertarianism is that it's about a less restrictive state. So legalise all drugs, keep gov't out of things like marriages, protect free speech, protect democracy. But having well funded public services, and regulating the economy to protect workers' rights and living standards is important as well.
>>
>>131295915

No, you bellend. This is people that pay income tax, as in wealth and employment creators. Without that 10% there would be no society.

They fucking don't though. You say 50% of all tax paid by the top 10%, I cba fact checking that so lets assume it's true. But considering how much more they earn, 50% isn't high enough!

It's difficult to get hard data on because to find the exact figure for the amount of fraud being detected you have to actually do the fraud detection in the first place.

If you're familiar at all with how the welfare system works though you can already tell through experience and a moment's thought just how much effort is exerted towards detecting fraud.

Have you ever had a conversation with someone who's say, tried to claim disability allowance? If you follow through the process you can get an idea in your head of the number of interviews with healthcare professionals, the cost of record keeping, the various assessments and appeals etc. It's fairly easy to tell that even now we spend such a huge amount of money detecting fraud that it towers over the cost of tolerating fraud many times over.

The reason we do that is because of the case you yourself made, politically fraud is so detestable that politicians are willing to spend ten times the cost of paying someone fraudulent benefits rather than paying it.

There does come a point where continuing to chase after the harder to detect cases of fraud becomes so expensive that it's not worth it even with our sense of justice taken into consideration. I'd say we're probably already at that point and I think you'll agree if you know how these systems operate.

>>
>>131296587

How is that not high enough you Marxist shitbag? ~25% of income tax receipts are from 1% of all earners. Just because they can pay doesn't mean they should.
>>
>>131296977
Because it's not giving us enough revenue, we need more money for public services, housing and to pay off the debt. The fact that 1). as you point out, they can pay, and 2). we need the fucking money means they should pay more.
>>131296955
I live in council housing, wrong about what?
>>
>>131295297

As I said I don't mind paying a fair amount of tax for the services that the entire populace needs to maintain a fair standard of living.

That's bullshit, I most certainly am not talking about admin staff. I know that the health service couldn't function without them. My own mother is in HR admin for a maternity hospital.

What I am talking about are complete and utter wastes of money that are justified by solicitors rather than medical professionals. For example, how many times do you hear about a hospital raising funds to pay for a specialist piece of equipment to treat sick children? I hear about it often enough. Yet at the same time the NHS will pay for sex change surgery costing hundreds of thousands or literally fat trimming surgery for clinically obese.

Until they get their priorities straight as to the difference between the urgency for elective surgery and actual life saving surgeries, then you can bet I will fight tooth and nail to keep as much money as possible away from them because they are doing nothing but wasting it.

I'd rather save 1% in tax per year and give 2% of my earning to a hospital charity than see a load of mentally ill freaks and lazy cunts get treatment they don't deserve at the expense of the sick children or the elderly.
