Lads, why am I so conflicted over our nation and our politics? I don't agree with ANY of the parties or their policies, I despise our modern culture (music, architecture etc) and how we are rejecting our traditions.

What the fuck do I do? Where do I turn to?
>>
>>129382352
Q: How many seats does X party have?
A: As of the most recent election
Conservative - 318
Labour - 262
SNP - 35
LibDems - 12
DUP - 10
Sinn Fein - 7 (Unseated)
Plaid Cymru - 4
Green - 1

Q: Why doesn't Sinn Fein take seats?
A: It is a long story seeped in Irish Politics, but the short answer is simple - they do not recognize the government as legitimate, and do not want to take the required oaths of loyalty to the Crown. Thus to pass a bill only takes 322 votes in the current parliament, not the normal 326.

Q: Wait, no one has 322 seats, how does that work?
A: The Conservative party is working on a agreement with the DUP so that on key bills they would have 328 votes.

Q: What is a snap Election?
A: Normally elections take place every 5 years. However a PM can ask for a snap election if they think the time is good for them (requires approval of parliament). These also may happen if key votes fail.

Q: What is a key vote?
A: Generally a vote of Confidence (where the MPs vote if they feel the PM is doing a good job), or in "Supply bills" which are budget bills. If no one can gain Confidence or a supply bill fails to pass, new elections are called.

Q: What is First Past the Post mean? (FPTP)
A: In the UK, elections are held for seats, and whoever gets the plurality (most, but does not need to be a majority) obtains the seat. This system rewards the major parties and parties that are regional, but punishes parties that have broad support but not a plurality in a area. (For example, the UKIP and SNP had about the same number of votes in 2015. The UKIP obtained 1 seats, while the much more regional SNP obtained over 50.)

Are we in the final death spiral lads? Is it all going to be over in twenty years with no chance of turning this nightmarish situation around?

There are groups of aggressive, pale white Anglos on every street corner who speak some strange Jamaican patois, I'm not sure if they're even speaking English most of the time and they mock, jeer and insult passers by with impunity

Everyone is playing rap or grime music and are loud, uncouth savages - there was a football game earlier and they were out in the streets whooping and chattering like forest apes.

All of the shops are exactly the same no matter where you go or what town you visit - there will always be roughly the same limited selection.

Large portions of towns completely derelict, they have painted on shop fronts on this husks to brighten the place up

Toothless dirty Anglos clutching cans of cheap max strength cider accosting the public in the street or asking for chance

Muslims and mosques everywhere - I literally passed THREE on my way into town from the airport and in the town centre there was a guy handing out Islamic leaflets to all the cucks who were eagerly discussing Islam with him

Two churches in my town have been converted to Mosques, local lefties go there to celebrate the diversity of the community

Africans all over the town centre and uncountable amounts of women carting around multiple race mixed babies. Large African women pushing prams and being trailed by a half dozen screaming niglets

Some streets are literally filled with just kebab shops and turkish barbers - no English is heard on any street. Many butchers are boasting of their extensive halal section.

This country is an utter shit hole. I have never seen anything as depressing or soul destroying as this place. To live in this place is to know unending despair and to truly know what it is to live a cursed life. We're heading for a Pengest Munch Orwellian nightmare and its coming up fast.

>Gove, previously seen as a key ally of the Johnson campaign, announced his own candidacy three hours before nominations closed, stating that he had reluctantly come to the conclusion that Johnson could not "provide the leadership or build the team for the task ahead." Johnson subsequently withdrew from the leadership race. The Telegraph stated that Gove's actions in undermining Johnson's leadership aspirations constituted "the most spectacular political assassination in a generation." Gove's move was compared to the betrayals of fiction with, for example, Johnson's father, Stanley Johnson, quoting "Et tu Brute". Some of Johnson's allies subsequently began shifting their support to May, because they perceived a "systematic and calculated plot" by Gove to remove their candidate from the race. By 5 July 2016, Gove was in a distant third place in the leadership race based on the number of endorsements received from other MPs. He was eliminated in the second MPs' ballot.

He will lead us to a proper Brexit, write a good old fashioned right wing manifesto and bury Corbyn in an election.

Nicky?

NICKY?

NICKY!

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=huXNdLQt_bk
>>
Here are two pictures from my father’s head —
I have kept them like secrets until now:
First, the Ulster Division at the Somme
Going over the top with ‘Fuck the Pope!’
‘No Surrender!’: a boy about to die,
Screaming ‘Give ’em one for the Shankill!’
‘Wilder than Gurkhas’ were my father’s words
Of admiration and bewilderment.
Next comes the London-Scottish padre
Resettling kilts with his swagger-stick,
With a stylish backhand and a prayer.
Over a landscape of dead buttocks
My father followed him for fifty years.
At last, a belated casualty,
He said — lead traces flaring till they hurt —
‘I am dying for King and Country, slowly.’
I touched his hand, his thin head I touched.

Now, with military honours of a kind,
With his badges, his medals like rainbows,
His spinning compass, I bury beside him
Three teenage soldiers, bellies full of
Bullets and Irish beer, their flies undone.
A packet of Woodbines I throw in,
A lucifer, the Sacred Heart of Jesus
Paralysed as heavy guns put out
The night-light in a nursery for ever;
Also a bus-conductor’s uniform —
He collapsed beside his carpet-slippers
Without a murmur, shot through the head
By a shivering boy who wandered in
Before they could turn the television down
Or tidy away the supper dishes.
To the children, to a bewildered wife,
I think ‘Sorry Missus’ was what he said.

And a brief historic analysis will show that growing liberalism and socialism leads to collapse, which leads to support for the authoritarian right. Things are going to get much worse before they get better.
>>
>>129384088
The people in power who want the status quo to remain the same have been seeking to redefine exactly what brexit means, so that even parties who say they want brexit, by their definition what they want isn't brexit. It started immediatly after the referendum, everywhere, cross party, all over the media you would hear over and over again the phrases "soft brexit" and "hard brexit", there is no such thing as a hard or soft brexit, the phrase is designed to trick people into falling for the middle ground logical fallacy, that is to say that only the solution between two extremes is the reasonable one.

So when a party says they want "brexit", what they could mean is that they want to remain part of the single market, they could mean that they still want an open borders policy so that companies can hire cheap labour for things like field work (forgetting that our cabbages were not left rotting in the ground before we joined the EU). But that is what is being sold by Labour and the Liberal democrats, what is being sold by the Tories would still likely mean migration in the 200k+ range for years to come, and it would still mean being part of the European Arrest Warrant.

Well the interesting part about that is, I totally agree with what you're saying here, except that that the 2 main parties both had manifestos that specifically said they'd end free movement of people.

This in and of itself means that we HAVE to leave the single market unless the EU want to give us a deal that undermines their very worth. If they want to give us that deal, it actually would be preferable to leaving the single market, but they won't so we need a PM who believes in Brexit. Unfortunately Theresa is still surrounding herself with hardline remainers like Barwell.

>>129384799
I don't believe they did properly read it, no. That and/or they didn't understand the consequences. MPs react to strong feedback in their constituency and it wasn't a bill that had the negativity around it that it deserved.

2017 Election predictions.jpg
336KB, 1254x816px
Well, gentlemen. A long series of posts coming up.

[PART I]

A while ago I made this prediction (pic related). I'm quite surprised that the Tories didn't do as well as I thought they would, but some of my predictions at least came true.

First and foremost, the SNP got arseblasted. I didn't expect the Tory surge in Scotland to be so strong, but it's good that it is. Furthermore, I had pegged Moray as a seat to watch, but never thought Angus Robertson would actually lose it. He's gone and so is Smoked Salmond. With the Lib Dems and Labour also retaking traditional Scottish heartlands, IndyRef2 is dead and buried. Thank fuck for that. Also, the SNP is now a dead party walking. They will get annihilated by the battleaxe that is Ruth Davidson in the next Holyrood elections, spurred on by their performance in this election. Ding dong, the Wicked Witch of the North is fucked.

I knew the Lib Dems would take seats, but how this happened is surprising. They lost a few to Labour, among which is chief Sheffield Hallam (Nick Clegg's old seat), but regained Twickenham from the Tories, so Vince Cable is now back. The vast Conservative swing in Westmorland and Lonsdale gave the Milkman a vastly reduced majority of only 777 votes compared to over 2,000 two years ago. He may resign and be replaced by Cable (or if not him, then Norman Lamb), I'm not sure; they did increase their net number of constituencies, albiet losing a few. What's interesting now is that, with the Milkman's staunch pro-EU stance, I'm not sure many know what the Lib Dems stand for. In this sense, we lack a true centrist party. A good thing for the Lib Dems would be for them to reinvent themsleves as a libertarian party. Maybe then they can escape the ghosts of their past of tuition fees and convey to voters that the actually stand for something.
>>
>>129385412
the arguments used against fptp are disingenuous as fuck

the snp stood in 59 seats and won a massive amount of support in all 59 of those seats, enough to take 56 of the 59 they campaigned in

the ukips stood in almost every seat in the coutry and won a trivial amount of support in all of those seats, therefore they don't get much out of it

what about this is bad? if ukip had focused on a handful of seats instead of running all over the country they would have a lot more power. under ftpf you campaign for seats, not global votes, you can't run a campaign in the logic of a completely different system then use your poor results as a reason as to why the system doesn't work correctly

PART II
Onto Labour now. They are undoubtedly the biggest winners of the night, increasing their seats quite impressively. I thought Gower was safe, and that in hindsight was very foolish. I study in Swansea and saw first hand the sheer amount of money and muscle poured into Gower to retake it, and I should have seen that it would swing back as a show of force for Labour. I thought Chester would go Tory, but the incumbent increased his majority. I underestimated just how much the student vote had been galvanised by the Scottish and Brexit referendums, the enormous power of lies and money to win people over to Labour, and the ability of the Labour spin doctors to make Corbyn into a political celebrity.
>What are kids into these days?
>Grime.
>Yeah, that's good, Grime4Corbyn, perfect.
Young people, chiefly students, have been conned wholesale into voting Labour on the promise of free tuition without considering the feasibility of it or how much it would cost. Students are gullible enough to vote for parties who promise free tution every single fucking time. Only this time, the student vote was so vast that it got a swathe of Labour MPs elected. Now here's a part where I take umbrage. Let's stay with Sheffield Hallam for this example. Labour now holds that seat with a majority of 2,125 - that's enough to warrant for students to overtake the vote in Labour's favour. That's all well and good for them, but they fuck off back home for every break. With all the students gone, the actual people of Sheffield Hallam have to put up with a Labour MP they didn't vote for, as students and young people constitute enough of a voting block to tip the balance. Such scenes were repeated across the land. Student cities went Labour or increased their Labour majority. Students congregate in cities, outvote the locals and then fuck off, and now they've sabotaged the vote to result in a hung Parliament. If ever you needed a reason for the voting age to be raised, this is it.
>>
>>129386602
PART III

UKIP got annihilated in this election. This was a foregone conlusion. The establishment media was quick to portray the party as a one-trick pony - one that had outlived its use. This is, to some degree, true, but as I will explain a tad later on, UKIP now occupies traditional Toryism. The media have peddled the stigma around UKIP as being filled with racists, and people don't want to be associated with such a party and alledged racist ideals. The thing is, only thirty years ago, their views would have been seen as conservative. The media has engineered spin to divert the flow of UKIP votes, and many took their votes elsewhere as a result.

And onto the Tories. Goodness gracious me. In refusing to attend the debates and throwing Amber Rudd under the bus to stand toe-to-toe with party leaders and get torn more holes than a sieve, Theresa May made the same mistake leftists have been making for the past decade or two. If you refuse to debate, if you refuse to even engage with your political opponents: You. Will. Lose.
>>
*Jonathan Pie*on FB/KIKE book he has SAID TRUTH ! .. MILLION! an he true ..! ;)
>>
>>129386777
PART IV
This bid for strong and stable leadership has resulted in anything but. Theresa May needs to resign and allow the Conservative Party to lick its wounds and heal. But this election invites an opportunity for the Tories. The only way for them to recover is for wholesome reorganisation of the party. As Corbyn brought Labour back to the left, the Tories need to undo the damage and move to authoritarianism by May and return the party back to its traditional right-wing roots: one nation conservatism, monarchy, reduced and controlled immigration, putting our country first, and the propogation of British values, language and culture within our society. In order to achieve this, May needs to be replaced by a leader who can both do the job and do so charismatically, and those on the more right wing of the party need to be put into the offices of state. To further ensure this, the hitherto process of candidate selection needs to be applied: Candidates for a future election, whenever it may be, ought to be selected on the basis of traditional Toryist views. This is the best way to tell it apart from Labour. The problem with the Conservative Party over the last twenty years is that it has drifted more to the centre and left to combat Tony Blair's New Labour. In doing so, they have abaondoned their traditional voting base, who find ever more that UKIP accommodate their views instead. Cameron made it worse by attacking his core voting base as "loonies, fruitcakes and closet racists". If the Conservatives move back to the right, UKIP voters and candidates/members will go back to the Tories, and their position will be strengthened. This is the best thing that can happen to the Tories as of now - it needs to rid itself of the embarrassment that is May.
