Well, lads. Originally, I thought old Moogaboogabe was bluffing us. I thought he was having a little rattle of his saber. "Surely, he wouldn't be this stupid", I said. "Surely, he wouldn't plunge us into even greater economic turmoil", I said.

I've lived in Zim since the waning years of Rhodesia. I don't remember the times of the war, but I was born a Rhodesian. My family has owned and operated three different farms since I was born, now there is one left which employs a decent amount of affies who respect my father for what he's done for them. He's tried to be philanthropic, he's tried to be kind. But he called me up today with thoughts of calling it all in.

We don't want to go, we don't want to abandon Zim. But he knows the Smart family and he's seen what's happened to them. Just to put this all in perspective, my father has seen the lot of it over the years. Think about it. Veteran of the RLI, white farmer of tobacco and some livestock, employer with several partners, and supporters of the Ndebele folks.

I haven't been on /pol/ for very long, but I hope that you all know about Rhodesia and how it all went down. I know there are some South Africans that post here, so I figured I'd update you all on this from a first-hand perspective.

Some folks hold fast to the idea that this is still a bluff by Mugabe. They think he was just using Lesbury as a means of satisfying his youth thugs.

I noticed a very alarming trend in my town. More and more women talk about being scared of walking home alone in the dark, because they fear "being molested by men of southern appearance". What the fuck is going on? I'm furious. Is islamophobia and right-wing racism really spread this far nowadays? What can we do to stop this disgusting hate speech?

How come if you want to date these days you have to play games texting her, snap chat, or other gay social media just to have a chance. Twenty years ago you just called each other to meet in person. A 10 minute phone call is equivalent in content to like hundreds of text messages. The irony is that the more convenient it gets to communicate and the more (((connected))) we become, the more disconnected we really are.
