What does /pol/ think about Presbyterianism in general? I found out today I was baptized as one as a kid (Scottish family) but my parents never attended any services, so my understanding of Calvin and Christianity in general is lacking.

If we believe and accept that genetics determine IQ, and some races have better genetics in this department how does affirmative action affect this? By making blacks not try as hard we are further propagating bad genes into their community, thus creating more dindus and wewuz.

The Pacific trash vortex is an illusion to the modern governments of today that have the power to pose impacts. A problem directly contributed by wealthy coastal nations: Japan, United States, China, etc. Floating debris can absorb organic pollutants from seawater which when ingested result in toxic and harmful effects to the organism and those that consume them (humans, marine life, zooplankton). Some of these release organic pollutants which are mistaken by the endocrine system causing hormone disruption in the affected animal. if the pollutants don't kill the organism, they will be severely damaged and/or have an extremely diminished quality of life.

Ideonella sakaiensis is a newly discovered bacterium studied consuming plastics and breaking them down via the enzymes PETase and MHETase. These are extremely uncommon enzymes to find in such a chain that can break polymers such as plastic. These bacteria are easily grown and can thrive in the ocean. No estimates have been made for a time period or a cost but this raises the question on whether it is okay to capitalize on living organisms such as bacterium to promote another cause, even environmentalism.

TL;DR: We caused a trash heap to infect our ecosystem and it hurts humans and other life, but is it okay to prioritize their lives by growing organisms to save them?

I would like to garner opinions of those who have undergone circumcision in their infancy (i.e., without their consent) and ― weighed against what they have since learnt of this practice; its effects {both negative and positive}; underlying morality questions issuing from the submission of cognitively unconsciousness subjects to surgical modification (etc.) ― whether they (as mature-aged adults) would nonetheless submit themselves [again] to the same procedure―were they hypothetically given a choice.

I am also interested in documenting the prevalence of those who would mandate circumcision for their own child ― as such, whether those sampled consider themselves adherents to one or more of the applicable Abrahamic superstition sects (e.g., Christianity, Catholicism, Judaism, Islam, derivations thereof); or are, in fact, secular-minded, free-thinkers.

Lastly, opinions germane to the reconciliation of what is perceived / promulgated / proselytised as the 'perfect entity', or "God" (*attached image related), either (i) being fallible (i.e., the [mis]creation of the male pudenda) or (ii) evincing anthropomorphic vanity (i.e., "Its" prescribed 'flesh tributes' from the most vulnerable―at the hands of those "It" imbues with comparative power), are welcome.

Its just the cyclical nature of government to over time fall into greed and corruption.

Cycles permeate all of society and inthe future their will likely be a dense textbook on the cyclical nature of tyrannical governemnts thoughout history.

If only we could build a self destructing government.

Petentially an overseeing AI to uphold accepted moral standards (which would have to be voted on) would be a negative of being a politician in a new era.

You think your good enough to stand for your country than for your term give up your privacy.

The populace is not the ones who should be being dragged out of privacy it is our officials who plot and work in secrecy in their own self interest when it is their duty to work in the greater interests of the people.

We must turn this crusade on free speech around on our leaders.
