Why are so many Americans an heroing? Is life really that terrible for Americans? 13 per 100K is a pretty sizeable number. It seems like suicide and drug overdoses are just seen as more and more normal every day in America. Celebrities commit suicide and drug overdoses all the time. Most people in America are affected one way or another from suicide and drug overdoses.

The more concentrated/centralized the power, the more prone it is to be controlled by special interest. Corporations spend money on lobbying because it pays off.

Given this, what exactly is the argument from the Left against dissipating power back to the states?

For example, if the federal tax burden was low, California would be able to channel that money to implement the socialized healthcare that they want.

What exactly is the argument for keeping power at the federal level?

Did I redpill my little sister too hard /pol/?

About a year ago she was visiting me for the summer and we got onto the topic of genders and sexuality. She began telling me she was pansexual and maybe transgendered. She's 15, white, tall and beautiful and I was not going to let the left have her. Anyways I dropped a truth bomb on her and made her cry. Fast forward to now and she's basically little hitler. She hates minorities, constantly gets in trouble at school for questioning the narrative in social studies and told a very popular transgendered student that "he" was mentally ill to "his" face infront of a full lunch room which resulted in the police being called and her being harrassed on social media for a couple of weeks.

I am proud of her because she never backs down and never apologizes and some kids in her grade have actually thanked her for being open about her beliefs that they agree with but are too scared to say in public. But....I'm also worried. She's tough but I'm scared for her. There are a lot of people in our town that really don't like her and I don't want something bad happening to her. Our family is pretty right wing but these gen z kids are fucking militant in their beliefs and the last thing we need is her being beaten to death behind the local subway.

She has a lot of friends which is great and a boyfriend that shares some of her opinions but we do live in Canada after all and I don't want her to go to jail. These kids have no concept of hiding power levels and it will be my fault of shit goes south.
