Take a deep breath, and realize the stupidity of the argument I just made. Like it or not, hundreds of millions of people watch and get their views from MSM, so it’s ridiculous to completely avoid discussing them or ever trying to influence them. Calling MSM out on its bullshit, which requires /pol/ discussing the MSM, will help viewers see the side of the argument that MSM is not presenting them. Promoting those very limited instances of the MSM doing it right (e.g., in limited cases, Tucker or Hannity) will spread awareness and incentivize that MSM network to similar content in the future.

Now, go through and replace every instance of “MSM” with so-called “e-celebs.” It is ridiculous that some people freak out whenever someone who makes youtube videos is posted on here. The same logic that applies to MSM in the paragraph right before this applies equally to “e-celebs.” In fact, there’s an even stronger argument for caring about “e-celebs” because (1) they are watched primarily by people who have already stepped outside the mainstream political/cultural dialogue, (2) they are watched primarily by people who are younger (who matter more for the future and can be influenced more easily than boomers), and (3) you can actually comment or up/downvote their content, which has a direct influence on the type of content they are incentivized to make in the future.

If you desire to think about these things on an individual level, not everyone is intelligent enough to be an engineer, or an innovator, etc.
On a macro level, we see trends that suggest that some groups are, on average, less capable than another.
