Anybody here /o/ut/?
>tfw i want to lower my car for less body roll on the street, but don't want to explode my oil pan all over the trails when i pretend to rally
I'm looking into skid plates but they're a bit pricey.
We are experts on lowering cars here on /out/. First you'll need to sell your car. Then you'll need to go outside.

Try walking
It's cheaper, and you actually get to be outside!

Fellow 3rd gen ej255 wrx owner here, you are a massive faggot for asking /out/ this question.

>you are a massive faggot for asking /out/ this question
Pretty much, but /out/ does draw in a few engineers who like to go innawoodsing.

Make your own damn skid plate. Sheet metal from ebay and bolts and nuts from the hardware store. Bend it using a dead-hit hammer on the edge of your back porch or over a 2x4.
Or don't be a faggot and buy the real thing. Seriously. If you drop that chassis, you better protect the expensive parts underneath it. Running suddenly out of oil in a race where you're not going to be all that concerned with watching the oil pressure gauge will cost you an engine rebuild, which is much more expensive than a skid plate.

You just need a crossover my friend.
I think the Nissan Juke is the right choice for you.

Just get a cheap truck or SUV as a second vehicle.
I have no doubt that you can afford one given that you're driving around in a nearly new S(exually) T(ransmitted) I(nfection).
why would you lower it? Get stiffer coilovers. Next youll be all "mah wheel tuck" and "stancedlife"
you need this one

But your headlights are so ugly...

Start saving money then, because if you want to lower your car and still protect the undercarriage a skid plate is literally your only option.

Have you considered a rear sway bar to reduce body roll instead of lowering it?
Also, embrace the sway, it helps with weight transfer to initiate drifts/load the front to maintain grip.

Sway bars and underbody armor.
Also:
>not wanting a two inch lift with all terrains
>not putting on xl rally flaps and front light bar
Disgusting
My dream car is a Forester 2.5xt with all terrains, stage 3 tune, bumpers and skidplates.
>race ricers
>do light prerunning
>this is the way god sees the world
Don't mess with the suspension. It literally ruins the car.
I get it, you want to because racecar. Just don't lower it.
I had a WRX, was an awesome car. Bought it brand new in 05, traded it a few years later for a CTS-V. I always had more fun in the WRX than the CTS-V. Mostly because the CTS-V rode so much worse. It bottomed out over big bumps, speed bumps, and bad roads. The WRX just soaked it up.
You may think it "handles" better lowered, but what's the point if you're not on a race track. On public roads, with speed limits, pot holes, speed bumps, and uneven roads, the lowered car is often slower, less fun to drive, and not to mention the hit you take on resale. Any real car buyer knows, stay away from any car who's suspension has been modified.
Front and rear sway bars if you want less body roll. New tires and wheels make a big difference as well.

why not get some hydraulic chocks, mang?
Literally leave and go to /o/. There is nothing /out/ in this thread save the trees in the picture reeeeeeee

I have a lowered, stage 2 legacy spec b. I have skid plates on it but really just for potholes. You're way better off buying a cheap outback and beating the shit out of it.
