That IS a dirtbike cafe racer. Roland Sands made some slick ones. The best(only acceptable) cafes are dirt bike based imo. In the end, you just get a less functional motard. Speaking of, look at motards. Great handling, but lacking in the speed department, which seems to be what you're asking for, aside from the looks. Mine leans down scary far, but tops out at 103ish.

I love the engine, chassis, and touring functionality of the tracer 900.

But I just can't get over how fucking UGLY this bike is. That fiddly bionicle styling is going to age in two seconds. I hate it. Look at the triumph sprint vs the aprilia futura - the futura has edgy thematic styling and guess what, 10 years later it looks horrendously dated and tacky. Whereas the sprint is still in production today, more or less unchanged. I think the tracer will go the same way as the futura and countless other meme bikes. Appealing to shor term styling trends instead of focussing on making something elegant and timeless is always a mistake.

The fj09 isnt as bad as the fz09, but I get what you're saying. Honestly though, who owns the same bike for 10 years? Worrying about how well a bike will age is kind of pointless in my opinion when most people seem to cycle through bikes every few years anyways.

R/R saga dumbshit here,

there was about 20 seconds between sunrise and full on heatwave here, so I decided to fuck with the wiring before doing anything drastic like cutting the wires. Pic related is new setup, old one went with wires going directly between heatsink and plastic, probably contributing to heat felt through plastic. Now the cable fits nicely just around the whole thing, no connectors are squished in any way not seen on the original setup before, and the wire (undamaged from the two test rides btw, perhaps it's made to last) connects only at the rear edges of the R/R. I'm optimistic, but I'll need to test it before I allow myself even a moment of happiness. That won't be until tomorrow at the earliest.

Yeah it was like a bloody bicycle.
The MC22 is a pretty good bike, I considered it. Probably the coolest way to start off...But the CB400 was better in every conceivable way. It's still a great bike to pull apart and mess with, even though it's quite modern.

Dogs like fresh air. Look at dogs in a car, they'll put their heads outside when they have the chance. Getting "fresh" air, smelling all the smells.

If they don't mind the noise of a bike, they'll enjoy being in a side car.

That's actually illegal where I live. Dogs are considered cargo and have to be secured in a way that prevents them from interfering with the driver or becoming a projectile hazard in a crash. Most people will simply get pet barriers for the trunk of a wagon or hatchback, but harnesses with seatbelt inserts for the rear seats also exist.

Fine, I'll take the bait.

Old race bikes (not idea why you included the GSXR here as it's at least 15 years ahead of the bikes cafe racer try to emulate, but whatever) look the way they do for a reason. Every single thing you find there is the way it is to serve a function. The people who designed it never cared about what tight leather pants faggots with trimmed beards would think about it when they saw it passing by the window of their favorite Starbucks.

Café racers are style without any (or at the expense of) substance. The end.

According to www.globalrichlist.com I am on the top 1.10% of the worlds earners, meaning that 98.90% of the world is poorer than me.

Take that, anonymous poster!

Under no circumstance, sir. How's the day going?

>>17582213
Usually slightly above idle without lugging the engine is fine. But if you're taking off two up on a 125cc uphill, you might need to bring them revs up a bit.

Watch people riding on YouTube and don't overthink it too much, you'll be fine.

Mighty fine I must say. Got paid for tearing up some dykes and I've got a chef preparing my food right now.
How was your day?

Look at it from their perspective, they upgraded the front suspension, and steering lock angle and thats about it. Theve basically made a "new model" with next to no money for developing a new chassis or rake and trail geometry.

Basically a super conservative move to bide them more time for releasing a truely different model.

Day's going pretty alroite.

The fan in question was a birthday present to a grill I'm seeing. Not very romantic, but she needed one and it'll come in handy during them fuck sessions in summer.

She was happy, so all good. Now I'm reading on back injures.

What are the circumstances regarding the dykes?

Shitty tarmac, lots of cyclist and pedestrians. But it's as close as a toogay we get.

That's a big if. No idea fampai.

I always take wide lines on the toogay due to cyclists.

>>17582422
For rapid acceleration, as high as you can go without wheeling yourself into a crash is what you want. For other upshifts, shift without the clutch. For downshifts, learn rev matching.

On a race however, you would only do this once. On a track day you would do it never, as you usually exit the pitlane already rolling. On a toogay run, about never too.

Yes, it puts stress on the clutch. Why you would do this often enough to worry about it is a bit beyond me.

So the revs are as high as possible before I start to let go of the clutch, slowly engaging the clutch more and more as I pick up speed, all the while keeping those revs at max?
>>
>>17582453

Not an option, better stick in the middle here, best way to avoid either cyclist on your side, or oncoming traffic.

Be glad, means you don't have depression. Depression isn't rational, it isn't normal.

Because some faggits are either stupid ir trying to rustle your jimmies when they bench race.

Some bikes can be good without being "good" at anything. KLR is an ok example, its only real redeeming factor is its dirt cheap, other bikes are better in every metric but the KLR is still a good bike.

Whats wrong with a chain? There are chains in car engines and they run just fine for what they do.

Horizontal transfer of distance from gear to gear is perfect what chains do.

I don't know of any belt driven bikes but I'm new at this.
>>
>>17582676
>exploding shaft.jpg
sounds pretty gay senpai
>>
>>17582680
Bikes can have belts, chains and shafts.
Chains is most common, needs most maintenance and replacements. Cheapest and efficient.
Belts only need replacements, more expensive
Shafts only need maintenance, but robs a lot of power and heaviest.
>>
>>17582685
I'll explode your shaft!
>>
>>17582680
>comes loose
>requires constant adjustment and checking
>doesn't last very long
>need to clean/reapply lube every time it rains
>dirty slinging muc and lube everywhere

For sportsbikes I can understand as every bit of hp is needed but for real world use it is outdated tech. There's a reason why all the best commuters/tourers have a belt or shaft.

I put proper boots above pants in the hierarchy of needed gear. It's even close with the jacket.

I rate them on what's required to drop a deuce. Helmet, to know you actually need to drop a deuce.
Gloves, To wipe you ass after dropping a deuce.
Boots, To get you to India so you don't drop a deuce on your floor.
Jacket and pants are not really required but will make you pleasing to the eye when dropping a deuce.
