Downloaded and redownloaded.

All the ARCA cars load fine and have their skins with the exception of cars whose numbers don't run in ARCA, GNS cars load but have no skins other than default which is the Camary skin regardless of whether your driving the Camaro or the Camry. Cup cars are the same thing. The car's model loads fine, but no matter what number you select, it''s the default skin with no option to change it. Trucks won't load at all. Every time I flip over to the Truck catagory, the pace car loads. If I try and select ANY number, the game freezes for like 30 seconds and then says it's unable to load the model. I have checked and double checked to make sure the models and skins are downloaded, but time and time again, nothing works.

However, I should probably note this only happens in the showroom. I haven't taken any of the cars with skins no skins other than default to the track.

For some reason, only certain obscure numbers have skins that aren't the default and even then it's the exact same skin for each one with the only difference being the color scheme. My predictions for future Forza Horizon games

Japan around the Mt.Fuji region. Loads of mountain roads, some cities like Fuji which are big but not Tokyo-tier big and some highways that go through a lot of mountains. Maybe even a license for the Fuji Speedway.

Germany around the Eifel region. rural roads through forests and mountains, many small to medium size villages and ruins and stuff, some Autobahn stretches and the possibilty for a Nürburgring license so in that sense pretty similar to my idea for Japan

Hong Kong with an emphasis on the difference between the huge city and the nature in Lantau Island, with some additional roads added on there so you can actually go somewhere on it.

Saw this on r/pcmasterrace. Apparently this guy got 500 upfarts on his post 2 years ago and made a low poly GTA clone. Alpha is free to test online and offline. Not the best graphically, and auto is only a small part of the game, but trust me, the online is fun as fuck. Well, if a completely free game with nothing but auto for PC is your thing you're shit out of luck because there's not really a market for that besides flash games from 15 years ago. My only reccomendations are ASRX and RaceRoom, but those are both high-skill sims that won't work for a casual like you. I only played a little bit of 3 but I felt it was quite fun.
Kinda surprised why there hasn't been a new one. Especially seeing how car tuning games are now more sought after NFS 2015 and Forza Horizon 3 with it's increased focus on visual tuning with the widebody kits. How do I set filters for servers I wanna join?

I play on controller and I can't possibly afford to buy a steering wheel. Many servers have things like ABS turned off and its extremely difficult to control cars without ABS while braking. Not having TCS is ok because I can control the throttle way better than trying to control the braking from locking up my tires and spinning me out which is way less predictable.

Any controller friendly servers?

Anyone have a good controller set up that emulates Forza's in AC? AC's controller schemes are fucking wild and it doesn't have Forzas smooth controller lay out but I was wondering if theres any formats that can adequately emulate that feeling and smooth driving I can do in Forza but not in AC? Sometimes when I tap the stick to make a slight adjustment to turn right or left the wheels just snap right to that direction and theres no way to make fine adjustments on cars. I've been paying with my controller layout for months and can never find the right one that gives a good semblance of smooth driving so I can stop fucking up in races

Turn the "filter" option all the way up. Unfortunately, that only smooths large inputs for whatever reason so you'll be stuck with twitchy inputs for small movements. You can play around with the turning speed too, but I find that to be overly restrictive as it fucks with your ability to countersteer too much.

Honestly I don't think it's even worth bothering to play AC without a wheel because their controller options suck so much.

This is what I hate. This steering speed isn't adaptive or intuitive. It works at 30mph the same it does at 200mph which sucks because at 200mph I want to make VERY fine adjustments so I don't go spinning out at 200mph because my wheels snapped to one side. At 30MPH its extremely restrictive if I have it set too high. Why can't they have an adaptive mode where its not restrictive at low speeds and very restrictive at high speeds so I can drive with the same smooth action at both low and high speeds? Its really annoying because in some twisty track at lower speeds like on nurburgerring I want to have quick responsiveness but once I get to the straight away I wanna make sure my steering is tight so I can do a high speed turn at 170mph.

Not only that but my controller scheme doesn't work for all maps. Some maps are really windy and others have high speed turns. So what? am I supposed to adjust every single time?

Just installed Dirt Rally for the free weekend. Joker laps were kinda bullshit first but by the end I won the finals with them. Kind of clever, as someone who isn't into rallysport and has no idea what the fuck it was. So rallycross is clearly like a race where you need to come in first, but is rally progression expecting you to come 1st in that too? There's no difficulty options in this game so I have no idea if I should suck it up or beat my brains out restarting until I get 1st in rally stages.

So I just finished building this little guy for the first time. The problem is, the engine backfires when i rev it and makes ticking noises when idling. I already tuned the carb to a richer fuel mixture but i have no idea how to actually tune the valves. I'm pretty sure they're way off but the engine is always stalling whenever I try to adjust the them.

While it'll be interesting given that the Audi was in the 2MJ class and the Toyota was 6MJ, so it's also two different methods of going fast.
