This car is actually impressing me. I had to take the time to tune out understeer but it's much better in less technical courses than my other favorite A-class car, which is essentially a '69 Camaro Pro Touring. The Camaro's short gearing lets it down on long straights and I can't for the life of me figure out how to increase a car's gearing-limited top speed. Making 6th taller doesn't help, according to the performance calculator.

Win the tournament, profit, lose a race and get knocked out, all gone. What's really interesting is that you don't have to try in order to loose. Other than that, the customization is all that really stands out. Once we get online drag racing against human opponents, maybe with a system like Racing Rivals, I'm sold for life.

I'm not denying it was great when it came out, in fact it's my favorite NFS, but I can't agree with the amount of people who still herald it as an amzing game that still holds up today. The new update for Forza Horizon 3 on PC fixed all my FPS issues.

You got me there. I guess I just want there to be more racing vidya with 10/10 soundtracks like Pro Street and TDU2 (i'm not taking that back). I like having good ol' fashioned rock 'n' roll in my game because it pairs well with cruising down the highway. And I don't mind a bit of DnB for racing in tight streets. But hip-hop only seems to fit in a game like Midnight Club where creating lowered shitboxes is welcone, and even then it only suits the customization aspect, because MC's fast-paced racing would go way better with some equally fast-paced music. On the subject of heavy metal, I can't think of any instance where a band like Thy Art is Murder's music would fit in. Music plays a bigger roll in racing vidya than most people give it credit for, and a generic soundtrack that panders to what's popular at the time is instead of music that actually fits what's happening on screen is always a bad move.

Outside of drift and invitational events, this game is pretty enjoyable. I wish there was a point to owning your own car though, since far too many of the races revolve around being loaned one.

Usually a wheel disappears because it either goes under the map or does a 180 and ends up facing the inside of your car. Most probably just the collision code that skips a frame during a high speed crash and ends up trying to compute physically impossible shit. I reckon that's the reason behind all the impromptu space program videos of pCARS: engine skips a frame, car ends up in the ground, engine shits the bed and sends it upwards.
Why the fuck is that still a thing in the day and age of overpowered CPUs is beyond explanation though.
