I posted a couple threads ago about fixing up my step dad's old KLR250.
I just found out that my step dad got his KLR250 brand new, it has 7,600km on it and he never got it serviced. At all.

Sort of worried that I've done some running around on it now.

one of them is surely the vyrus
it uses an already super powerful ducati twin that is supercharged to reach more than 210hp
the rest of the bike is pretty much hand made by a single guy who is the dude that created the bimota tesi, so it uses a rather complex centre hub steering to have the best possible braking stability
also, this 1200cc supercharged monster makes an extensive use of carbon fibre and titanium so it weighs a scarcely believable 154kg

another honorable mention is the suter mmx 500 which is actually a 576cc FUEL INJECTION two stroke
no, I don't know how that works either
the weight is 127kg and it raced in the isle of man tt so it should have quite a bit of developing put into it to make it a fine racing bike
it's also an undersquare engine so that should make up for the small displacement
did I mention it's a glorious two stroke machine?

>>17129446
Most are, but many of them have some level of demand based logic that adjusts the times. You'll also find some situations (usually left-hand turn lanes) that only get a green if a vehicle is detected. In some states, there are specific regs that give motorcyclers an affirmative offense to go through a red light if 'a reasonable person would believe that enough time had transpired to indicate a failure of the traffic control system' or some such.
>>
>>17130022
What clarification? I got ticketed because I was parked perpendicular to the driving direction, it's pretty clear why. It's just that it's pants on head retarded. If I parked parallel
a) the 4 bikes would take up around 3 spaces if parked in line
b) when parked parallel, a car driver might mistake the spot for an empty one from afar, attempt to park and not see the bike (yes, Berlin drivers are literally this retarded)
c) when parking 2x2 we'd be forced to park too closely to get on/off the bike
d) when parking 2x2 we'd get ticketed for parking side by side

It technically is at a slight angle. Still, if it's no wider than a car, why bother and waste parking space?

>>17130046
Yeah, we're not quite as cucked here when it comes to minor shit like this. Berlin cops also generally don't care if you park on the sidewalk, if you aren't blocking anything.
I'll appeal this bullshit, I don't see why I should pay when I've parked sensibly. And I guess I'll either park parallel and risk getting it thrown over by mad cagers again, or park on the sidewalk and be more annoying than when parked perpendicular.
Fuck this whole thing, I'm too mad to even play videogames now.

Supersport as a first bike in general isn't a great idea, but it's doable if you really want to.
They're all pretty comparable but the F4i is the best 600 (for the street) from that generation in my opinion. The ZX would be my next choice.

I am trained in gorilla warfare and I’m the top sniper in the entire US armed forces. You are nothing to me but just another target. I will wipe you the fuck out with precision the likes of which has never been seen before on this Earth, mark my fucking words. You think you can get away with saying that shit to me over the Internet? Think again, fucker. As we speak I am contacting my secret network of spies across the USA and your IP is being traced right now so you better prepare for the storm, maggot. The storm that wipes out the pathetic little thing you call your life. You’re fucking dead, kid. I can be anywhere, anytime, and I can kill you in over seven hundred ways, and that’s just with my bare hands. Not only am I extensively trained in unarmed combat, but I have access to the entire arsenal of the United States Marine Corps and I will use it to its full extent to wipe your miserable ass off the face of the continent, you little shit. If only you could have known what unholy retribution your little “clever” comment was about to bring down upon you, maybe you would have held your fucking tongue. But you couldn’t, you didn’t, and now you’re paying the price, you goddamn idiot. I will shit fury all over you and you will drown in it. You’re fucking dead, kiddo.

The ZX-6R is the Kawasaki 600cc supersport. The 2000-2002 ZX-6R was re-released in 2005-2008 as a ZZR600 as well so you will be able to find the same model over many years for generally really cheap.

The reason I would choose the F4i is because it got fuel injection before the other japanese 600s, which didn't make the change until 2003. It's also super durable so it's not likely to break if you abuse it. Also it was produced practically unchanged (aside from the seat change) from 2001-2007 and was very popular so there's tons of information and parts available for them.

Hey thanks a bunch guys!

Last question here, and i believe its a stupid question...The bolts are as pictured below (except the head is Phillips). If my local hardware store doesn't have these style of bolts (smooth before the head, unsure of proper name) can i just use bolts that are threaded all the way to the head?

Not comfy at all.

Raked out forks and apehanger handlebars make for a very odd handling motorcycle, and having hands above your shoulders will tire you out in no time flat.

Choppers are rolling monuments to stupid people ruining their own vehicles.

Smoothed off section has a bigger cross section than thread for the same hole diameter and can therefore transmit slightly higher forces. But usually the safety factors in engineering are high enough for it not to make a difference.

What's the go-to sportbike front tire in 120/70?

I normally run a sport/touring tire in the back and the grippiest rubber I can in the front. That was the Q2 when I last rode a few years ago. Got a cupped Pilot Power on the front right now and a Conti Motion on the back.

Worked pretty well for my first hundred thousand miles. I expect 6,000 miles out of a rear tire and the softer ones never got near that. Pilot Power 2's normally got me right around 7k before thread showing.

If you don't put miles on a bike sure run a soft rear.

Please replace your tires earlier than that.
>>
>>17131180

Thanks for the advice, daddy. I've ridden some rears where you can't even tell it's about to go until you're hours from home. Ridden back on quite a few cords, you just have to be careful.
>>
>>17131164
you know they design those tires to have the front fit the rear yes? Like on wet road with the Bridgestone S20 the front is meant to push the water away from the inside so the rear can push it further, it doesnt work if you just mix them. They arent slicks.

But i guess you know better than professional engineers.
>>
>>17131195
It's not about whether you can wheel it home it's about the fucking grip you don't have in the wet because you're basically driving slicks.
