>>17100584
If you crash on a track you mostly just slide and that's it. You don't need to worry about hitting trees, barriers and other shit. Maybe just a bike, but that's unlikely.
So yes, you're at your limits, but going over them isn't that dangerous as you most likely can just get up without any injuries. On the road the same crash might kill you from hitting the road barrier.

Recommend me some good warmer weather riding gloves. I'd rather not buy online since I like to feel the fit of clothing before I buy, but there's fuck-all for motorcycle shops where I live.

These are my current gloves and they're great for rain and cold, but my hands sweat if it's even like 70 F outside.

I will too kit kat. I'm moving to CA in a few months for work once I finish school. I'm really gonna miss the twisty forest roads and weapon laws here.

Though I am looking forward to the CA motorcycle laws and riding weather. That'll be awesome.
>>

Idk about gloves but you should ditch the pistol and ride with a sawed off in a saddle bag. It's more aesthetic

The pistol I can take to school though and everywhere else I ride, I can't take a sawed off shotgun. Also no saddle bags.

Nice bike. My dad has that engine in his flstc
>>
>>17101161

If you're ever stuck on identifying a Harley just remember,

External suspension, swingarm, transmission bolted to motor, oil pan = dyna
Sub-shock style hidden suspension, entire ass of bike pivots, transmission and oil tank are separate from engine = softtail

Large frame with lots of bodywork attach points, big fairing, hard bags, body work, swingarm, external suspension = touring frame

right side sprocket/pulley, transmission and motor are one unit, swingarm suspension = sportster

a burly moped = street 500,750, street rod

ridden by a pakistani or east indian gentleman = vrod

There now you can identify most harleys at a glance

Its luck and hypervigilance. Remember some bullshit left over broken windshield safety glass or pea gravel off a truck on a curve will toss your ass and your bike into the guard rail so there is always that luck portion.

Question:

Have any of you dealt with making returns to Revzilla?

I bought a pair of inexpensive summer gloves from them (Joe Rocket Velocity 2s) but they came in with a bunch of loose threads and the palm and upper were coming apart by the wrist.

I'm starting the return/exchange process but I read that you have to pay shipping back to them. Do they honestly force you to pay for a return when they sent a damaged product, or do they wave that crap in these cases?

an I4 can make lots of power earlier in the rev range at the cost of top end, which it could easily have

an I2/V2 can make lots of power earlier in the rev range, but not a lot of top end without revving to death

a torquey I4 would be a wasted I4, and a V4 is just a repacked I4 that you only see used on a luxury sportbike ("sport tourer"? i wouldn't tour on that over a bagged down FJR) for the sake of packaging and novelty.

How about you fags stop arguing like a bunch of bitches, and post bikes?

Rate my new wheel stripes.
>>
>>17102886
Sportbikes have long wheelbases and small steering lock angles. They corner better at high speed for it, but they're harder to get to corner at all.

A sportbike can't even do a simple low speed turn as well as a dual sport unless you apply counterintuitive technique

If you put a shit sportbike rider on a supermoto he'd probably smash all his friends on the toegay

I'm surprised you didn't get attacked on here. Usually any time someone posts a picture of an fz-07 there's a couple guys sperging out about how they think it's the shittiest bike on the planet
>>
>>17103012
I think it's also because there is only a certain practical speed you can corner in and maintain traction at in a curve. Also groups tend to go slower than individuals.

Just a dual sport will be at WOT.

Also the KLR650 in particular has excellent steering geometry and so it corners better than it really ought to for a dual sport.

>>

>>17103012
I've ridden both. Started with little dirt bike, then dual sport, then supersport. The supersport is by far easier to corner at normal road speeds than a dual sport. I just think dirt riding and the riding style of dual sports is much more encouraging for people to actually learn to ride properly than a supersport.
Steering lock really only matters if you're doing uturns or trying to fit the bike in a really tight spot sideways.

Damn could have at least gone for angel GT.

anyway I find sport touring tyres are counter intuitively more temperature sensitive than sport tyres, once you get S/T tyres cooked they grip quite well, you just need to keep them up temp.

yes, I do own one (gen1).

it's a boring bike though, I don't ride it often.

If you have no issues with your back/knees/arms get a decent 1000cc sportbike
>>
Do you cover your clutch and front brake at all times? Or do you let them go when you're up to speed on the highway?

I tend to cover mine whenever there is any traffic.

Also, does /dbt/ hate windshields? I'm an all-weather commuterfag, I have one in my 50cc scooter and love it but don't have one on my actual motorcycle yet.

Best windshield for a CB1100?
>>

I cover. Reaction time is all and cage drivers are insane, stupid and dangerous.

I like windshields because they work, but homos who would rather be raped with a burning cactus than look like anything less than Rossi hate them.
