The reason why people recommend lower cc bikes is because the acceleration will hit you less hard and it's lighter, thus it's easier to slow down if you make a mistake and not slide on your face in a corner.

>I don't think it matters
yet research has shown that it does, hence why most EU countries gate the amount of CC's by how much riding experience you have.

Stop being a stupid nigga and do your research.

Here they often have a Ford Taurus with interceptor wheels and raised up for clearence, that or a dodge charger with the same setup.
>>
>>16830336
I think it's actually illegal for them to be in an unmarked car in Louisiana. They aren't even allowed to hide. I gotta be careful in Mississippi, though. They're allowed to do all the dirty tricks. On my Jackson drive just before crossing over to MS, I did see a State Police Tahoe sitting on the side of the road. Looked up at the overpass and his buddy was up there scanning cars for him to pull over.
>>
>>16830341
What state?
The Chargers used to be everywhere in MN, now it's mostly just Explorers.
>>16830392
Thinking about getting a radar/lidar detector? I'm tempted to get one.
>>
>>16830434
I have one sitting somewhere that my old co-worker gave me. It's a Beltronics, I think a V955 or 995. Can't remember. I probably should have used it on that trip. Not worth using during work because it just goes off at the same spots over and over.
>>
>>16830444

I'll get those then. Apparently 5.25 is the size that can fit in the back seat side panels but I probably won't bother. I'd have to surface mount them to the panel and use the grilles they include anyway. Stock speaker housings are overpriced on eBay.

Also, here's the process of fixing my bumper that that 16 year old hit.

Step 1 was to cut a V groove where the plastic had broken apart. Using a soldering iron, reheat the plastic past the crack and work it back together using zip ties as filler.

Step 2 is to sand that shit down so it's smooth. Not finished but getting there.

If you're wondering, the zip ties are not as soft of a plastic as the bumper but it's extremely strong. (You can twist the bumper cover no problem and doesn't snap)

I actually already have the exact paint for the bumper which I ordered a long time ago because the bumper needed new paint, so that'll be "free".

Theres a metal piece thats twisted a little and missing some paint, and theres a bumper support that I need to swap or straighten out.

I'm looking to spend maybe $150

My mate has a 1989 Honda Concerto (similar to a civic) I think it has a D16 engine, but I cant be sure.
Usually when you turn the key to on, the check engine light will be on for a second then go off with a relay click, and the car starts fine.
However sometimes when the key is turned to on the engine light stays on, and the car will not start if tried.
Do you guys have any idea what it could be?
Is there a way to get codes form the ECU? I would guess you have to short something out, but I have no idea.

Thanks senpai

The foam 85 (USDM) 1.5i (EUDM) spoiler is expensive, AFAIK not replicated. It's very much the less popular choice.
I highly doubt you'd see an 85 with one unless it was turned into moosh. The 85 Si spoiler is made of foam, and degrades really fast.

Starter motor works, it just wont start.
The light goes out when a relay clicks on (and the car will start), but when it stays on the car wont start.
Its the first time I have ever seen the light go out, most of the cars I have had keep the light on until the engine is running.

If it isn't clicking then that's gotta be it. Try that before anything else. Without that relay the fuel pump won't start and that would stop the car from starting.

I am trying to fight local government on it, but you may or may not know how that goes: Usually not.

I only ask, have not read anything past my own first post in this thread, because my own car doesn't like to start unless I gas it a little. I've check and I'm pretty sure it's because my temp sensor is borked, and my sparks are oily. Gas get's it past that, doesn't run WELL, but it runs.

>>
>>16835484
Best of luck, m8. Just in case that isn't it, here's an experience I had.

>have automatic 93 Civic
>no relay click
>have to leave the car in the on position and wait many minutes for it
>thought it was fuel pump, put an ebay one in, doesn't work
>try relay, NOPE
>it was actually the ECU
>it had some sticky moisture in it and would stop the pump from starting until it warmed up enough

Highly unlikely it's that but it's worth looking at just in case.

The other two are advertised as running - a red 2000 at 176k that looks like it will need some paint touchups on the hood and bumper and a silver at 168k. These 2 are $2700-$3400

i have a question that is probably retarded but ill ask it anyways.

i have an 07 civic and it has stickers and stuff that say its a ULEV (ultra low emmisions vehicle). Does that make it special in someway or are they all ulev vehivles

and if not what is even the difference part wise between a standard civic and a ulev civic
>>
>>16839752
>>16839752

What kind of headers do you suggest?
>>
>>16839755
they all are ULEV or LEV

out of curiosity, why 1320? They seem really inexpensive, like cheaper than Ebay headers. I always figured that indicated quality.

Absolutely no way that the Auxbeam LEDs will fit in the fog lights. That's OK, though. The quality is pretty good for something under $40. Never owned Stanley fog lights but I think these could almost pass as Stanleys if I compare them to the OEM headlights. Just gotta decide if I want to paint them black or not. I can paint the little silver bezel too since it separates from the lens.

Looks like I'll have to make a connector if I ever wanna replace the bulb, which I probably will do since these are no-name bulbs. It's some kind of threaded sleeve and not rubber, though. I wonder if that's hard to strip?
>>
>>16841817

You're going to find insulator under there, it's just a sleeve.

Cool. I wanna put some higher end halogens in there since I can't fit my monstrous LEDs in it. I'm just surprised that the H3 bulb doesn't actually have a connector on it. It's like they didn't expect people to want to replace the bulbs at some point.

a transmission seal went faulty and the seal was only 40$ but getting to the seal required taking apart the entire trannsmission and other parts of the car so total labor was almost 2000. sup /hg/. i was driving with some chick from college and we were chatting it up when she told me she needed to stop over at the bank. i said 'sure no problem' since its right next to the parts store. so she goes and pays some bills while i check struts and springs. she asks me about some stuff in the store while I get an invoice for the parts. we finish up and have dinner at her place before playin some vidya to late night. we retire to her room where we got comfy on her bed. long story short we had some ecchi times together till way past midnight. i got dressed and had some cold water to wake me up for the drive home. on the way i noticed that even the smaller bumps in the road were really felt and made the trip rough

I'm debating whether to get the 2013 ILX 2.0 with premium package or a base 2016 ILX 2.4 (civic si engine with 8 speed dual clutch)

I think the 2013 looks far more handsome and will be more affordable used, but the engine is so much better in the 2016.

What do?
