So, I started tearing down the Daytona. It wasn't a water jacket that broke off the motor, but the cam chain jacket. It was oil and not water pumping onto the exhaust and smoking up when I tried to start it to get back in the pits, glad it didn't ignite.

get a 6mm helicoil kit. Super useful since 6mm bolts are so common on japanese bikes. They give you a drill bit and tap to make yourself a new 6mm hole. You just need a drill.

Should I buy a DR650 or a G650GS, assuming I can handle both in terms of money?

The DR strikes me as more of a "Fuck it, let's just turn off here and go into the bushes because I can" or "I'm gonna climb those stairs" sort of bike, whereas the G650GS seems more like a "Fuck it, I just want to ride to the next city for the shit of it" sort of bike.

While the first two thoughts occur to me more frequently than the latter, there's just something about the DR (probably looks because I'm like that) that just makes me want to consider the G650GS.

I feel like you could even do track days on the DR with some motard wheels, but for some reason that versatility STILL isn't enough to push me over the edge.

Guys, I need some feedback to make a decision here. I planned this text a few hours ago, so it's a little bit weird now.

There's somethings that I don't get the general consensus on this thread, and I've been lurking for 9 months as a no-bike and 5 months as a hasbike.

I've seen people getting mocked for riding a Ninja 250 for one year and then getting an R3 and calling it a upgrade. I've seen people getting mocked for starting on a 125cc, mocked for starting on a 600. One thing is for sure, most people here recommend, for someone who likes to go fast on corners is starting on a 250~300 (or the all acclaimed GS500/SV650).

I don't live in America, so most options that you guys call cheap are actually pretty fucking expensive, but sometimes manageable. Buying a second bike is quite a fucking investment for me, since I can ride all year long and don't really like cars nowadays. The question is: as I've been riding a 125cc super moto for how long should I ride to be able to go into a 600cc. So I made this image with the best available bikes in my opinion, and am trying to put some pros and cons on them. I'm not having too much fun on my 125cc anymore, at least on the road, because it can't reach 65mph, it gets stuck on 60.

The country in question is Brazil, since all our cars are shitboxes, a 250cc will outspeed most cars on the road, but with a 125cc I risk being run over by a truck.

I'm heaving leaning to the Korean Hyosung because used it's the same price as the 250 brand new, being even cheaper than the Ninja 300, while not being as powerful as the R6.

Give me some feedback on my opinions on my image and what would be the best bike for me. Thanks in advance!

Going for a PR coming out of a long left hander which goes strainght into a tight right hander, got on the brakes with still to much lean. There laid the Skid demon.

Bolting into an insert should be avoided if possible. Did that bolt COME with the tank? Modern tanks should have metric fasteners and all fasteners should be checked by spinning them into the insert using your fingers.

If that were mine I'd chase the crap out of the threads using the tip of a scriber then install a correct stud, not a nut, using green Loctite so it never comes out, I'd run a NON-LOCKING nut with a star style lock washer on the stud to secure the tank instead of a bolt. That way any thread wear is on the stud. Anti-seize would prevent nut galling on threads. Of course verify you can remove tank with studs protruding from that location.

Tell us more details. I don't work with IMS tanks and the above is standard smart hardware usage.

It's funny how people think gopro is a holy grail of quality or something.

The camera itself is subpar, if not even buggy and unreliable. Many people just get them as first one because that's the only thing they know and switch afterwards.

What it's good about and why it's so popular with production and professionals is support. Warranty support, parts availability and aftermarket accessory support. Support is everything for professionals.

If it's your only camera you're likely to to use with just 2..3 accessories and ditch for something better after few years, get whatever gives you the most bang for buck.

Also, specifically for motorcycle riding any bullet type camera will work much better. Unless you want to Frankenstein a chin mount, because most helmets cant house a standard mount in that area.
