Want to get rid of my sportster and find a fun bike that can actually turn. However, i live in Baton Rouge and motorcycle insurance is ridiculous and makes super sports not affordable.

I have about a year of riding experience and now that i am more comfortable on a bike i would like something that is sporty and can turn.

Nah for the most part they're really not, especially a lot of the vintage reproduction stuff. Even the better quality stuff out of Japan like the Daytona bars are pretty bad quality, i've personally snapped a few pairs.

I've done a TON of riding on custom bikes with shitty or mudguards, especially in the rain, it's all kinds of fucked. Super short mudguards will result in plumes of rain hooking up off the top of the front tire and generally hitting you square in the face or chest, no mudguards results in that in addition to your bike getting sandblasted by fucking everything on the road.

The most common batteries we use on TW200, SR400 etc custom builds are designed for Peewee 50's, they'll keep your lights on, but that's about it.

the cbr650 has smoother power delivery, more top end power (less mid range and bottom end power) better handling and in general is more comfortable to be sitting on.
The brakes are also better on the cbr than on the ninja.
That is compared to the old ninja 650 though not the new one, can't say anything about the new one never ridden it.

I'm currently riding a shitbike dual sport and far from affording a new bike or project bike but damn does the Indian Scout look fun. I used to think "Well maybe someday I'll get a Harley" but Indian just seems like a better company to support and with a better product.
The styling looks sorta retro futuristic too, like you could see it Wolfenstein or something. It's not the best looking bike in the world but it's pretty good compared to other modern bikes.

I want a Knucklehead kind of bobber way more than a big heavy cruiser though. The new Triumph looks like it could fit the bill if I'm never able to obtain a Knucklehead.

The CBR1000RR is gonna be the lightest I4 1000 basically in history at 195 kg wet, has the 2nd slide control system to come to the market (after the R1).

If it's as sharp as the R1 on track it's bound to basically be the sickest overall literbike because blades are always nice to ride on the road.


The GSX-R1000 is coming in with the first VVT system to ever be put on a sportbike so I'm expecting it to just have a monster powerband and to be incredibly linear and strong off the bottom.

I know alot of those people and some are in debit. Like I mean I love the superbikes ive gotten to try but so impossible to upkeep unless decent money.
