As far as ive seen, you just change the oil and ride. One oil for both the transmission and engine. Check coolant levels, break fluid levels and belt tension.

Not a whole lot of examples have had a sizeable amount of miles on them. The only problem ive head of is the fuel pump was a little shitty on the early production models. Mines been fine.

I'd like to replace it and write it up as just a collection of free resources (proficient motorcycling, totw etc.) because I think that's more useful for someone to just educate themselves but I'm not sure I could write a sticky saying "do this or do that", specifically everyone wants to know if they should start on a 600 or not and I'm not even really sure if it's a bad idea or a good idea. Everyone usually just assumes what they started on was the best thing to start on because they're the greatest rider in the universe but I can't really give an answer about starting on a 600 because I don't have identical clones of myself that I can all start on different machines and compare progress between.
