Bought a windshield like pic related (not exactly but very close) for my naked SV650. I can't seem to find any orientation of it that doesn't cause horrible, horrible buffeting. It's like a pulsating Baseline on my full face helmet. If I duck really close in behind it it goes away, but no matter how I orient it, normal riding position above 60kph is invariably loud and boxes my ears with the low-pitch buffeting.

What do? Is this normal? I'm looking to reduce wind noise and the forces on my head on the highway, I'll remove the shield for city and fun driving.

Oh, and I've definitely Google'd first, which generally recommends nose-height with a bit of air coming up from underneath, which is slightly better, but still terrible.

Only my parents' fuck huge cruiser, which had the windshield 5 inches above my head, so I assume it's not comparable. Hence why I asked if that's normal. I assume a well designed, OEM windscreen will have it a lot less, but this is unbearable.

My next step is to tape some thing paper streamers to various places on the windshield and see exactly what the air does. Like a poor man's smoke in a wind tunnel.
