so /dbt i have returned with an update about my missfiring/stalling bike @ idle when hot

i dumped some f.i. cleaner in the tank and went out for about 30 mins after letting it idle for about 10 mins and there seems to be no sign of the issue. the only thing that worries me is that today was very cool and overcast

so i ask again what do you think my chances of a breakdown are if i daily the bike as of tomorrow

Can anyone please help me out, I feel like I'm losing my fucking mind.

Engine is 62cc 2 stroke reed valve, 19mm phbg carb. Thing won't start, I'm at a 60 choke jet, 48 idle jet, W9 needle clipped at the richest, and the mixture screw all the way out. It started once then died and won't start again.

How can you guys tell if something won't start because it's too lean or too rich? The plug is wet but as someone said in the thread yesterday that doesn't mean that it's too rich necessarily. I've got spark and compression too. When it starts it runs pretty healthy but it takes a fuck ton of kicks to get it to start and when it dies it's not starting again. It's at the richest setting right now, I don't have any more bits for the carb to get it any richer - I can only go leaner from this point on. Fuck, I'm seriously going insane. Going to go try putting on a restrictive air filter to get it a bit richer but if that doesn't work I'm out of ideas.

When I put in a new plug it looked like one on the top row, but not gritty. Really smooth, sort of wet, but it still had a good spark. When I worked on Smallh engines,i did that with a toro ccr2400. I learned that I had empty the crank case out by pulling the cord with the carb off and the engine at an angle. After all the liquid can't out, I out the plug back in and pulled and it roared to life.

Fuck, I think I'm even more fucking done. I put in a new spark plug, it fired right up easily, went and rode it around the block, pulled the plug, it was nice and dry, a sort of dark brown. Went in to go eat lunch satisfied, came out again and the damned fucking thing won't start. Does this plug look fouled to you? It's wet and grayish/whitish.

okay I just went down 2 atomizer sizes (262 -> 260) and it starts with the fuel mixture screw all the way rich but it runs VERY rich, it's 4 stroking pretty badly and running at around 2500 rpm.

Funny thing is, it won't start if the fuel mixture screw is set any leaner than what it's at, but when it's this far out it starts and runs like shit. I think my main jet might be a bit too rich though, going to swap and try again.
