a feral cat just happened to have kittens in my barn and stay there for a while. One of the kitties (there were 3 plus the mom) went missing after a few weeks so I assume it died. About a week after that the rest of them went missing. Another week went by and someone said he saw one of the kitties a while down the road so I guess they ran off and didn't get eaten.

Unless you're already mechanically inclined, you're about to buy a Garage Queen. A 40 year old bike is going to have plenty of weirdness to deal with from age (frame warping so things don't fit and move right, part availability, etc).

What's stopping modern Rotary Engine designs? Things petered out in the late 70s/early 80s because the engines then were a bit shitty, but more modern engines have greatly reduced slide-sealing problems.

Not necessarily. I had an '81 BMW R65 which required nearly no work and I put about 10-12k miles on it before I sold it. Frame warping from age? Fucking lol.

Sure you are going to have to clean the carbs and fiddle with it here and there but 70's hondas are dead reliable.

I had a '79 CB650 for my first bike that had 2000 miles on it when I bought it and put 6000 miles on it. All I had to do was valve adjustments and clean the carbs. Never left me stranded, and did a 2000 mile road trip on it.

So very close to unused (50 miles a year lol). There's a big gap between a 4 year old bike that's lived in a garage all it's life and one that been in regular use.

Yeah it's really annoying trying to get it up and even more so keeping it up. I've only been able to pull off sitting decent ones while high. Standing on the pegs is a must it seems. I'm planning on changing out my sprockets though. Sadly I don't think I can ever convert a 250 into a dedicated stuntbike. Would've saved me the headache of selling a naked streetfighter. I guess I have to borrow my dad's car to truck over all the plastics and frame bits I took off when I do sell it. Or sell them individually on ebay.

so why did nobody ever build a bike with a fork-less front-wheel suspension that has 2WD over 2 drive-shafts?

Possibly powered by an opposed piston-engine and controlled by 2 electronic gear-boxes keeping traction in check?

Am i crazy for wanting to see that?

I don't see any need for 2wd in any bike other than maybe an off-road bike. Even then I don't think it would make a huge difference since the bike shifts its weight to the rear upon acceleration, and you can move your bodyweight to the rear tire too
>>
>>15412505
>It's just that 2wd is worthless on bikes

wouldnt say that, given how weight constantly shifts depending on acceleration and deceleration a 2WD would at least be able to give some extra boost after breaking.

sugru is basically rubber cement, but you can take it off and it will leave no residue. i have a bell qualifier dlx and the chin doesn't work for a sticky gopro mount. i used sugru and stuck the mount there no problem. it took a little less than 1 package of the stuff.

It doesn't gum up the carbs, it eats the plastic parts inside. You manage it by either draining the carbs ever run or constantly running fuel stabilizer.

Otherwise just ignore it and replace floats every now and again.

The Honda CRF230 I mentioned is super simple. It's about as simple as an engine can get. You would be lucky to get it to break. If it does then there's a million people who can guide you in fixing it.

Plus it will actually be rideable.

I've never had any problems with it. One of my carbs needed a new o-ring last week but that's kind of expected in a carb over 12 years old. My floats are still in good condition. It's no big deal.

Do you know of any mini bikes that have a front and rear suspension? I'm thinking of getting this one just because it has suspension. I already have a Baja Doodle Bug already, but its biggest problem is that it doesn't have a suspension, so even a small bump is gonna feel like shit.

I kndof like it, I like some of the fluoro colours Honda is doing this year.

i dont necessarily like but i think i respect the Vulcan.

Its like Kawasaki went "you want cruiser? Well here, its got parallel twin, looks like its actually made in 2016 and the color-schemes make you stand out like a naked black man on a unicycle at your nearest harley meetup! Why? Because we are KAWASAKI YOU FAGGOT!"

Dude Suzuki Boulevard series is great. I own a M90 and have ridden a M109. The M109 accelerates fast as fuck, it's basically a few mods away from being a legit drag bike. The M90 has more manageable power and is an all-around great cruiser.

Yeah fuck the Vulcans. Plus, we're talking about large-displacement, and the new Vulcan cruisers come in what, 650 and 900 before you start getting into the Vulcan touring bikes?

You're dead right about the paint jobs though. Also, the new Vulcan models are definitely entry-level cruisers.
