Definitely no excuses, outside of earned sick leave/days off. It does seem a little draconian at times but the amount of freedom that you get when you're out there (listen to music, skip houses if their mailboxes are shite, take videos of dogs) makes it much more bearable.

Found one of these babies with low kms for a good deal. I was going to get a brand new kawa but i hate the limited colour choices

this shit has been bothering me since it happened yesterday around 8. i was coming home from work, almost home, and my kids are waiting on me for some dinner. the d390 is running on empty. i have an indicated 15 miles left until i'm out. i'm on a near empty stretch of highway. one lane this way, one lane that way. only one other vehicle in sight. a big dually pickup, putting along at about 55. i dropped a gear and sped around him, maybe at like 70ish and continued on to a gas station about 2 miles down the road. as i'm filling up, the dually guy starts to go past, and then i guess spots me, and slams on the brakes. dude sits there for a solid minute as i'm gassing up. i'm wondering wtf big boy's planning on doing. i passed the guy. it's not like i spit on his mom or anything. after some time, he drives off. wtf was he doing or hoping to accomplish? taking a picture? writing my plate down, so he can cry to the police? sheesh. i'm not worried about the dude. it's just a stupid little irritating thing at the back of my mind, like when you leave the house, and you wonder if you left the stove on or some shit...

I was told to check out the Vstrom after I found there aren't any good Kawasaki Versys in my price range and found this one. The price is right and the bike looks alright, but I'm worried about the mileage. Is there a point where you should start being more wary about the miles a bike has on it?

Can I reduce the severity of a speed wobble by adjusting the suspension? I was getting cooked by other adventure bikes today because I couldn't get above 115mph without a horrifying wobble developing. I do have 40kg of luggage on the back.

Vstrom owner here, mileage on a suzuki vtwin isn't that much of an issue like you would think. Those bikes are tanks and they'll treat you right with regular maintenance. I had 40k on my first sv, 30k on my first vstrom and I'm almost to 30k on my current vstrom. That's a clean bike, I'd recommend it if it means anything to you
