If the music is good I'll listen to it, and I'm pretty sure that's what 99.99% of people will tell you. Musically speaking, NSBM bands suck massive dick, so you re not really missing a lot when ignoring them,
Some racist bands like Infester, Angelcorpse, and Sacramentary Abolishment are pretty good. Others, like Argholesent for example, not so much. The quality of the music has nothing to do with whether or not the artist believes that people in Guinea have an average IQ of 57.

I know a person who completely stopped listening to metal when he realized that the genre is filled with people who identify with the right. I told him that the genre has a lot of diversity and that it's lazy to neglect the whole genre this way. Just as >>73120428 said.
But it's weird that metal has a sort of rebellion against society thing (yes, I know it's cringy), and still holds values that could be called conservative, it's contradictory. The reason I asked the question first is because it surprises me how there's a lot people in bands who avoid publicly speaking of politics, but they don't realize that what they do can influence a lot of people and that it's a political action. I tend to think that bands just aren't out there with this discussion because of political correctness and how badly it could look if they openly spoke about what they believe. It's maybe better this way.
