I considered going into the IBEW but it would be a pay cut for at least 2 years, once i get my house renovated i might reconsider. I work alongside electricians and pipefitters, also see some hvac guys and some semi specialized skilled workers(xray and vibration testing, leak sealing, scaffold building, insulators, etc.).

With a union you gotta find your local and find out about their apprenticeships. Plant operator jobs are harder to get, best way is to either have family in their or get in through a contractor.

I don't know anything about guitars but I'd like to get one and learn how to play. How do I know what kind to buy?

I blew out my amp's fuse yesterday and I'm trying to figure out what kind of fuse to replace it with.
Inside the amp its labeled saying: "Internal Fuse: 250V /2A" but on the old fuse it says "ST315L 250V".
I'm not sure if that means 3.15A or 315mA. I don't really feel like going out and buying 3 different types of fuses, since every store seems to sell them in packs of 5. Also I don't wanna break my amp.

I have a Squier Strat that my dad bought for me when I was a kid (Squier is Fender's budget brand)

Pic related is only £250 which is pretty cheap (around 300 dollars or euros)

You can get other budget guitars, so I'd encourage you to have a look, but I can vouch for Squier Strats - I'd say Squier is definitely more trustworthy than some of the Chinese knock off shit you can buy.

yes you can do it but it's not just the scale length, guitars with the same scale length can have different headstocks so the string may not reach the tuning peg on the other guitar. i've done it a few times and it's just a pain in the ass. the string end is going to be all bent so trying to get it through something like a strat tremolo is fucking annoying

not sure where you read that, but I've never heard it. Basically, do whatever is comfortable for you. I use my thumb as an anchor keep it on the pickup and pluck the strings.

Your gear matters a whole lot more than wood. It does color the tone ever so slightly, but it's not really gonna matter all that much so long as you're not using something made out of doors. I like Alder personally because it's a little lighter and little brighter.
