Hey guys, newfag to guitars here. I've been searching for a good mid range guitar to play hard rock and metal on but I can seem to find any, anyone have any suggestions?

SO I got a 30 on my ACT finally and my college is fully paid for. As a result I am getting 1000 bucks to spend on new gear. I really wanna get a 7 string, not for meme metal tho. The majority of songs I play are in B and E standard so not having to switch back and forth between guitars would be nice. What's the best in this price range, I prefer hardtails, but I'll learn an FR if I have to.

Here it is, kids: 7, 8, and 9 string guitars are the result of kids playing in their bedrooms for years and years all alone. The poor kids in these videos ( https://youtube.com/watch?v=RyqW4WkyX6Y )( https://youtube.com/watch?v=wd065h2kH_E ) overly technical "playing" is unfortunately just a compensation for the lack of a bass player. It's sad because the point of music is communication and the most enjoyable form of this communication is a concert (where people gather to share the musical experience). The only people who'd be interested in this kind of guitar wankery are other isolated bedroom-stuck 7, 8, and 9 string guitar troglodytes, so it's YouTube and the bedroom again, and MOM WHERE THE FUCK ARE MY HOT POCKETS?!?

Seriously though, it's a symptom of extreme social detachment, and goes right along with a lot of other unhealthy things like playing video games as an adult, masturbating to internet porn, etc. You'll also notice all these bedroom "pastimes" require a good bit of rapid hand/finger movement.

Playing music shouldn't be the equivalent of mashing buttons on a video game controller or furiously jacking your tiny dick, which is obviously what 7, 8 and 9 string guitar players believe.

For example: Offsetfag has been here for well over two years accomplishing absolutely nothing except for *getting some attention for himself*. The sad truth is that he has nothing else, this is his legacy: replying to other losers in /gg/ threads because his life is obviously devoid of any other social interaction.

If your goal is to wind up like this then posting gear here ad nauseum and avoiding actual musical discussion is definitely a good place to start.

So Bought this at a yard sale. First Guitar, only thing on it with info is the tuners which say Gibson Deluxe. I can't find any online that look like this, it's obviously old from a lot of wear marks. Sounds pretty good and plays well from what my newfag self can tell. Can any onw shed some light? Because I can. And also because they aren't the same guitar. Silverburst is strung with Elixir 10'a in Standard. Tobacco Bust is with 9's tuned to Eb Standard. Maple has Elixir 10's and a .053 "E" string, and I use it for deep tunings and deep slide tunings.
