what about gaypop?

how's your first week here?
I think the most recent KPOP general has been around longer than you have my friend.
What does /mu/ think of Dance Gavin Dance? And by that token, the post hardcore genre in general? For some reason I can't get past the vapidity of their lyrics no matter how musically engaging their songs are. I'm not a musician really, so I don't know if this is a valid critique, but the lyricism and vocal deliveries just kind of fuck everything that could have been good about any of their songs. And after going to one of their shows I'm starting to think their fanbase might be...cringeworthy? Someone explain this cacophony of word salad and trendy pseudo punk to me.

Shit ampersand shit
>>68926164
But there has to be MORE to it than that. There are parts to their music that aren't shit, but something is covering it in shit.
I like jon mess' vocals cause theyre funny but otherwise i think theyre definitely a instrument centric band. I dont see how their more trendy and pseudo punk than all the pretentious post punk revival stuff like preoccupations and interpol, but even still theyre evolving the genre more than any unwound clones without being afraid to show pop influence

I had sex to The Lemon of Pink in the early morning and it was pretty good actually.
Is there any other krautrock album with less wacky experimental sounds?
I really like pic related because it's pretty chill, and it doesn't have a lot of wacky shit.
That's kind of what seperated it as Krautrock rather than German Progressive/experimental rock.
It's the style.

Hijacking this thread to ask for other albums that have a similar sort of tropical rock vibe that Future Days has. Don't care if it's German or not.
>>68926123
Check out Ralf & Florian by Kraftwerk. Side 2 in particular is full of tropical ambient krautrock vibes.

What exactly was indie rock's "deal" in the early 2000s? Why did young musicians suddenly want everything hushed and delicate?
