Music criticism should be long dead in the internet age where pretty much anybody can freely access any album they want and form their own opinion on it.

Critics should have the ability to describe the qualities of a piece of music and why or why not they like it. but honestly any shit writer can be employed by these fucks and call themselves a critic.

That's also what I think. When it comes to newer albums I don't really care what critics think because musical taste is so subjective. A dude writing reviews on his tumblr blog or making vids on youtube has just as much credit as a "real" critic, it's just the differences in audiences
