I listened to quaristice once on dxm and I thought the album was re-programming my brain
My ex just left me to take a job across the country. I'll probably never see her again. I put on Frank Sinatra's No One Cares album, and realized I made a big mistake. Now I hurt...... Post other albums I should stay away from.

Get Lonely by the Mountain Goats is my favorite. The lyrics are painfully accurate and relatable
Has a new version of this been made yet?
>>70561144
I volunteer my services to make one! What do y'all want included in the new '16 row?
(I'm gonna guess Untitled Unmastered and TLOP right off the bat)
>>70561144
assuming this was made in '15 i'd say that you might want to wait 3 more years for the next one to be made just for that equal feel.
5 years for early 10's and 5 years for late 10's.

I was wondering how you would compare their past music/ albums to their newest Color before the sun?
Do you think they will ever go back to making concept based albums or not?
>Anyway, Anyone here a Coheed and Cambria fan?

Are you able to make music that you yourself can enjoy? If not, then why? If you are able to, how do you do so?
if you like your own music you're an egomaniac
if you hate it you'll end up as a garage rocker
popular artists are none of the above
i am. i don't really know why or how i do it. i just make stuff with the goal/intention of lifting myself you know like if i can get outside of myself/silence the inner monologue by getting inside music then i succeed. i usually enjoy listening to it for a couple days maybe weeks afterwards then inevitably become disgusted with my actual personality. i use/used music to escape myself until i woke up and realized it WAS myself so now i gotta face stuff you know how it goes.

>if you like your own music you're an egomanic
nigga that's wrong
if you worship your own music you're an ego maniac.
liking your own music is what makes songs sound good
Looking for some new prog bands
>i love all pre-10925 Yes
>I've only heard Foxtrot, Nusery Cryme, and Selling England by Genesis but I love most of it so far
>I like the song 21st Century Schitzoid Man but I dont really enjoy the rest of the King Crimson album that much
>not sure id technocally prog, but I also love Cardiacs
What else've you guys got for me
Inb4: I know it's 90125. Typo
Gentle Giant - Octopus
Camel - Mirage or The Snow Goose
Emerson Lake and Palmer - Brain Salad Surgery
Progarchives are also your friend. I mean there's so much out there. I could recommend so much, but you just gotta like find it for yourself and figure out what you like. If you like the Yes/Genesis sound you might like Spock's Beard. They're a little similar. I actually just discovered them myself.
Excuse me, best Bowie album coming through...
That's not Diamond Dogs.
Also: The album should have been trimmed.
A lot.
>>70560198
your life should be trimmed
a lot

Tsk tsk tsk. No need to be rude now. I'm simply saying this album isn't as good as some of Bowie's other works.
Hey /mu/, I've recently begun learning piano as one of my college classes. I really want to start listening to more piano music, partly because I want some inspiration to keep me going when I struggle with classics like "When The Saints Go Marching In" and "Row Row Row Your Boat," and partly because it's a really expressive instrument I barely paid any attention to until now.
The only pianist I really knew of before now was Chick Corea, but I really like his stuff. I can only listen to so many covers of anime OP/EDs (covers of KLK's Blumenkranz are great though). Do you guys have any suggestions, or an infographic I can check out, for piano-centric/exclusive music?

How about listening to real piano music.

Why do you think I made the thread?
Thanks for the link though, I appreciate it.

>Why do you think I made the thread?
:) Sorry, I'm a dick from years of 4chan and no real friends.
Maybe if you browse the classical threads you will see some good recommendations.
