>want to get into jazz
>almost all the great artists have 50+ albums
How do you choose which ones to listen to?
just pick one
I can give you a guide for a certain artist if you're interested.
whichever is the highest rated on RYM
Why are people who prefer In Rainbows always more beautiful, smart and interesting than the ones who prefer any other of their albums?
you know whats weird is I kinda just decided earlier today that this was my favorite radiohead album.
I liked this album until I found out that Scaruffi didn't like it, now I don't listen to Radiohead anymore
>>70563878
>tfw always found radiohead boring and nothing special and then learn that scruffy tore them to shreds
feels good being naturally patrician
Is this their most experimental?
It's this and TKOL but TKOL is definitely more original and cohesive and forward-thinking whereas Amnesiac is just really really good alt-rock songs arranged like jazz or electronica or krautrock or what have you
Still one of my favorite albums. I've been listening to it forever and it was only recently that I feel like something "clicked" and I really got how the album fits together as a whole.

Its Radioheads Ummagumma
ya it's also their best
This is a very sad album
>>70563545
yes
perfume genius is the most underrated musician of this decade. xiu xiu but good
only sad part is that it was made by a fag so I can't let myself enjoy it too much
What is the most annoying, earrapey, god awful music you have ever heard?

Please help me find some good albums based on my very depressed taste
(the solid pink one is Solace EP by Earl sweatshirt, definitely an underrated masterpiece if you were wondering.)
Red House Painters - Down Colorful Hill
this is the essential sadcore
>stereo
>tfw never heard the beatles' first 3 albums in stereo
Stereo is objectively better.
are the monos really better or is it just shit-eating vintagefags saying that?
Why doesn't /mu/ like Sleater-Kinney? The Hot Rock is really good and Carrie is gorgeous.
>>70562965
Carrie is my waifu
women aren't funny and they don't usually make good music
not a hard question
Also they participated in Rock Against Trump.
>in the 50s rock 'n roll was considered the most dangerous and degenerate music of its time, now it's classic
>in the 80s thrash metal was considered the most dangerous and degenerate music of it's time, now it's classic
What music from the 2010s will be considered classic 30 years from now that is considered dangerous and degenerate now?
>>70562831
Modern Music is no dangerous or degenerate in any way. Rock and roll is dead. Sex and Drugs are openly sold as tranquilizers for the restless human animal. the edgelord zeitgeist has moved on to more wholesome activities such as jihadi terrorism and neo fascist violence.
>>70562831
>thrash metal is classic
hahaha

yes good tune many elements i'm looking for... but hmm i am hoping for stuff that is less crisp and beat driven and maybe more reverby and sparkly and psychedelic but still synthetic
this is my favourite track of all time https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=igTOcPCYbwg
Anything agressive, catchy and fun as this?
DONT HAVE TO BE DOOM, it can be rock or whatever genre you want.
Listen to Clutch.
>>70562578
I don't got 'aggressive' but I got catchy and fun.
(..Also I'm listening to it now, I'm not really sure 'catchy' applies, but ey, not knockin ya if you like it)
Ziltoid's pretty fun. Devin's got a lot of heavy stuff too.
