>Deletes Empty Spaces, One of My Turns, Don't Leave Me Now, Vera, Bring the Boys Back Home, Waiting for the Worms, and Stop
Nothing of value was lost and it's now a much tighter and more concise single LP.
I hope you mean delete hypothetically because if you're pruning albums in your library you are making a grave mistake
I am so fucking triggered, some of those are my favorite songs and are extremelly important to the album's story you goddamn retarded pleb.
These trigger me the most
>Empty Spaces
>One Of My Turns
>Don't Leave Me Now
>Waiting For The Worms
Is this a bait or are you actually believing this? These are not only important to the album but they're fucking amazing songs.
>>72028691
None of those songs deliver anything to the album's thematic structure that isn't already hammered into your head by two or three other songs.
And Don't Leave Me Now is just a shit song to me, sorry mate.
can we replace loveless with this?

This
Nah. Mellon Collie has some great moments but being a double album killed it. There are a lot of songs that don't feel fully fleshed out.

In hindsight 2016 was actually a pretty okay year for music.
I don't want to be combative here, but EVERY year is a good year for music. Sometimes you just have to dig a little more.
Granted it's always more convenient when the current attention of the musical press tends to line up with whatever is interesting and exciting and new. But even when that's not the case, there are incredible releases every week.
The night skies are empty, for the stars are now among us.

What metal bands are pushing the boundaries of metal today?
>>72028127
Dunno about pushing the boundaries, there haven't been many bands in years I could name that have been doing that.
This just came out and it's pretty good on a first listen... will listen again later.
Pretty decent tech death metal.

Liturgy
what are some other artists that constantly blur the line between avant-garde and pop besides the saviors of modern music?
>>72028052
what do these guys even have in common
>>72028065
>all 4 have collabed with each other
>all 4 are obsessed with recent past nostalgia and focus on the conceptual side and more on the textural, soundscape approach.
>all 4 remain a mystery in their private lifes
>all 4 make avant garde music for the music illiterate
21 pilots and Grimes
Thoughts on these modern masters?
I'm awed; love everything from them so far.
>>72027987
They are a bit up and down. Their covers are better than the stuff they write
>>72027987
I've found that if you go into listening to their music expecting jazz that all of their albums are very disappointing and lazy.
If you go in expecting hip hop, they're decent.
Take that for what it's worth.
