Father Damian, your tea is ready!

Both are good and made a valuable imprint on the 90s' alternative rock music.

Does /mu/ like Weezer?
I used to be a hardcore weezer fan, and like every hardcore weezer fan knows, weezer has become complete and abominable garbage.
It used to bother me a lot, i know rivers has it in him to make good music again. I was like a batter wife, He can change i swear!!!....
But eventually you get over it and move on
>>72734217
I hope not because its terrible plebby pop/rock
Yeah, the first two Weezer albums are some of the best rock music in history if you ask me desu
Enjoying the latest attempts to return to form, a couple of decent songs
Liked some stuff from their 10+ year run of bullshit too desu
Hey faggots. Look what my orchestra teacher gave me for finishing out the year?
That's right. I am confirmed patrician. Bow down before your overlord.
Nice blog faggot
>>72734128
That's cute, did he give you a gold star also?
>>72734128
whats the point of music and the note beside it?
do u go to autism school?
I still don't believe what happened so I guess I'll start monitoring classical threads just for that.
>>72734158

>>72734206

>>72734034

>>72734132
Was gonna say this is best album of any genre so I'll just post what ive been jammin
>>72733971
The King of Limbs is the best pleb filter since The Illusion.
Except Pablo honey killed it from the get go
>albums that would be better if different bands made them
The Wall needed to be more metal and more agressive.
Korn covering "Bricks In The Wall" parts proved that this album would be much more effective with it being much more agressive musically and vocally.
>The Wall would have been better if Korn had made it.
Thank you for the laugh

What is some essential /mom/core?
air supply
rod Stewart
Post mom core: maroon five
Metallica, Led Zeppelin, No Doubt, Regina Spektor, Joanna Newsom, Snoop Dogg, and Danzig/Misfits are what comes to mind. That's just my mom
Hi /mu/ I'm pretty new on this board and I am fishing for recommendations. I mostly listen to EDM like Justice and Daft Punk, some mainstream hip hop as Kanye West and some other random artists (i.e. Jay-Z, Snoop Dogg), Gorillaz, Jamiroquai, and yeah mostly commercial music. I just wanna find something that can catch my attention and I thought some of you guys may help me out. Feel free to harass me too I know my tastes are really generic I don't really care about that. Thanks in advance /mu/.
For electronic check out Aphex Twin and Burial. For more hip-hop check out Kendrick, A Tribe Called Quest, Wu-tang Clan and Outkast.

first off, stop frogposting forever
and listen to Marilyn Manson's earlier records
>>72733705
You must pass through the standard pleb filter
You have ten seconds to post a more 90s album
>>72733677
that would be Smash
this is an actual great album btw
You can also include your own favorite song.
I Will.
>>72733583
Love in Stereo, haven't listened to the album in ages though.
Round & Round
This is the big day on which mu is going to prove that Claire Elise Boucher aka Grimes is INDEED the best musician of the last 10 or 20 years.
I see a bunch of these threads every single day, and there I am wondering if its serious, or if it is, then what made people arrive at that conclusion? No offense here guys, im honestly curious.
Like what were the, say, other 100 musicians of the last 10 or 20 years for you, that she had to compete with?
Whats this incredible "musical complexity" thing she features in her music? I know her discography backwards and front, so feel free to explain me the complexity of one of her songs, which I apparently dont recognise.
What about her music being innovative? Again, please mention some part or layer of a song that fits this criteria, and why.
Its not that your conclusion was reached because youre not really well informed of currently relevant musicians, music theory, instrumental knowledge or musical knowledge in general, right?
Then there is this "GRIMES PROFILE" thing.
It doesnt feature anything besides some oddly trivial activities when it comes to producing your own music, some instruments she cant actually play well, and pretty average taste.
You do realise that your supposed best musician of the last 10 or 20 years is a girl in her 20s who thinks that Justin Bieber is underrated, hates ambient music and sums up Skinny Puppys discography by listening to a singles collection because its "less painful" that way?
dog ate my homework, need extension.
its just people who like grimes, they want to elevate her and feel validation from others liking her too. knowing that some people dislike or even hate her creates a dissonance in their mind they need to alleviate. by saying she is the "best"
Art Angels was a very solid album, but I think Grimes can do a lot more
>>72733562
OP here, its not like i dislike her music, i usually love her delivery and also think art angels to be a pretty nice pop album.
its just that the best nomination is kinda silly.
Bjork's music has become a part of me. It's not just something I like, it's a core aspect to the way I navigate my internal spaces. I have listened to her since I was 13 or so, and I have no nostalgia for her. Instead I have a warm, intimate familiarity with her work. Listening to her music is like opening up channels in my mind that connect to joy and wonder and something vast. The things that get worn and damaged and blocked from the day to day tedium, trauma, frustration, anxiety, and victories.
What music do you hold close?
