Are there any good ones that's not the Ark Work? I mean, I liked Ark Work, but I can see why people prefer stuff like: https://dmp666.bandcamp.com/album/codex-obscura-nomina
I saw that it was a split album, checked out both artists discographies, but didn't quite find anything like that album. I guess Godflesh might fit the bill, except then they're not really black metal. I'm kinda approaching this as someone who's into punk stuff and black metal inspired music (Boris, Sunn O))), etc.) but not so much the standard black metal formula. Also, I'm personally already into big, slower electronic drums, which is part of the reason why I ask this. I like the black metal guitars but not so much the clanging, fast, not-so-bassy black metal drums.

/mu/core kids would do better to start with Az-I-Dahak. I think he actually used a femur hitting a skull as a drum sample.
this thread again. show off how many of these albums you have listened to. recommend what others should listen to next based off their charts

Jim O' Rourke - Eureka (quite an essential that mist people forget)
Global Communication - 76:14
So I just listened to the whole thing all the way through for the first time(I know, I know), and to be honest, I don't get the hype. It's nice, don't get me wrong. Can somebody please explain the brilliance to me? I'll give it a few more listens but I definitely didn't hear what should arguably be the best album of all time.

Mike Love was a man ahead of his time
people force themselves to like because it was commercially successful, because it had bloated personal, and because of the band lore
also because they know no other album in the genre (they are lazy people who don't actually like music)
it's just an average sunshine pop album

Does /mu/ think that Vaporwave will become the next big genre in music, and do you think Vaporwave will go mainstream (Both aesthetically and musically)?
No
Fuck off
Yes absolutely
I think that at its core vaporwave has a lot to offer. It needs more time to develop imo.
Artists would have to put more thought into their works before they release them. It doesn't seem to be a trend though.
2418 - Birth of a New Day is a good example of vaporwave done right.
>Be me
>January 2017 arrives with pink season
>listen to the entire album
>really don't like some of the tracks
>dislike most of the songs because they were too childish and too memey
>4 months later, it's may
>start listening to all of the songs again because I unironically like them for their satire and humor
Has this ever happened to you? Where you severely dislike an album/song and then love it?
This is different from being unappreciative at first and then having the music grow on you. I'm talking about full on disgust to enjoyment.
Or am I just immature?
I've never listened to this and I never will.
You need to be 18 to post here.

Op here.
That's probably a good idea.
Why is it so hard to decide what's the best Beatles album? I love them all.
THE
top row - meh
middle row - GOAT, minus 60% of the white album
bottom row - 50% good
Sgt Peppers > Magical Mistery Tour > Rubber Soul > Abbey Road > White Album > With The Beatles > Help > Past Masters > Please, Please Me > Revolver > Beatles For Sale > A Hard Day's Night > Yellow Submarine > Let It Be
What does /mu/ think about early 2000s and mid 2000s hip hop?
Love it. Mike jones https://youtu.be/Sd0S0LwhEDU
Living in the south it's childhood for some of us. 50's get rich or die tryin was probably the one that captured my attention, or it was def jam vendetta, I remember watching mtv2, the Chingy holiday inn video, fuck

Do you think after all this time it's possible he might still be out there somewhere? Still tippin?
>>72726371
Early 2000s were good.
Mid 2000s not so much. Late 2005-2008, the "ringtone/snap era", was crap. That era even inspired Nas to write the Hip-Hop Is Dead album, lol.
what are you listening to right now?
Mission of Burma - That's How I Escaped My Certain Fate
Why does every time I come across one of these threads I happen to not be listening to anything at the time?

>>72726359
Sadly I would say it's coldplay. But neither Radiohead or Coldplay are "rock". Rock is taking a rest
