What does /mu/ think of street musicians?
>>73614894
it's really annoying when they're bad
i was having an ice cream with my gf once and this fedora-wearing idiot set up in the bench next to us and starting playing guitar
he couldn't play for shit and his singing sounded like someone was ass-fucking a goose
ruined my icecream to be honest
I love a decently skilled group of street drummers using a variety of objects to make percussive sounds and polyrhythms. Makes me wish we had more of such polyrhythmic percussion stuff in actual music as well (though it seems Jlin is doing similar stuff.)
There's some bucket drummers I see on Fremont Street in Vegas every time I'm there. I haven't bothered to ask but I am 100% sure they were in a drum corp, because they're ridiculous.
Like someone else said, if they are good, they're cool.
BARREL OF LIES
This album is someone trying to make a noisy abrasive genre accessible to teenage girls.
>>73614906
sounds like the opposite actually. Sounds like a New Wave album trying really hard to be edgy and harsh. Which is exactly what it is.
What you're talking about is Metal Dance (SPK's foray into new wave)
>>73614906
LYNCHED
What do you guys consider to be the most comfy music genre? Not albums, not songs, just complete genres.
Personally, I'd say ambient is one of the comfiest genres.
Ambient, drone, dream pop.
personally I think metal is a very loud genre
Shoegaze
How did this fucker make $100k last year off of one shitty song?
Is the electronic music industry really this easy to tap into? Or did he just get lucky?
>>73614804
he didnt even try to get popular with that song it was just everybody else consuming it on his tumblr he repeatedly expresses his regrets for ever releasing resonance as a track
randy your sticks
>>73615561
stop.
Would you hate me if I said Tourette's is my favourite song on In Utero?

Hey, bootleggers!
Remember this? I'm remastering it. Ask me anything if you want.

Why does it need to be remastered?
>>73614666
Also, nice digits.

Upon examining the files along multiple copies of the record that I downloaded there were a lot of things that bothered me for the most part.
The biggest thing that nagged me was the weird high end roll-off that made it sound unnecessarily lo-fi when things could've been absolutely blistering at the moments where they needed to be if they didn't fuck off the high end. There's also some annoying limiter tactics that they used.
Basically, someone in the studio was very lazy or incompetent and it sort of shows.
>tfw your favorite artist is missing in action
Mark Hollis?
I'm right here bebe.
>favourite album cover of all time got censored shortly after the release and now copies with the original art costs 350$+
so, i remember someone once recc'd me an ambient record which consisted of krill sounds. does anyone know what its called?
also, like, you can use this to discuss and rec some ambient i guess
bumping for interest, but if you're interested in unconvential ambient, check out Aube. he has a bunch of albums using weird samples, a semi-popular one is le syndrome aquatique, solely based off of the sounds of water, check out his discogs to see all his stuff, shit like a heartbeat, metal, ice, and space, he's got a huge discography
gonna give this another bump, cause im interested
damn I need to hear this, been listening to Snoqualmie Falls which is some damn pretty fucking ambient
