If you were a musician, what kind of music would you make?
>>74313950
minimal synth. not very distinct at first glance but has quite a few layers when you look closely. no fedora btw.
I do make music, but it's all just shitty R Plus Seven pastiche
>>74313950

Fight me.

>Meme Demarco
Nice shit taste
Let's face it, love them or hate them, you know who they are. You also know all four of their names (or you wouldn't be here). Let's find out once and for all who /mu/'s favorite is (or at least the one that you hate the least). Whoever wins becomes our Beatle.
I'll start:
>Paul McCartney
Paul
>>74313768
George.
>>74313768
It’s fucking RINGO
what kind of music does he listen to?
Probably Death Grips.
Trapfag if I've ever seen one
>>74313740
Eminem
I felt this thread might give some incentive for people to check out new music. yall can browse the thread and cherry pick the stuff that sounds interesting to you. I'll start:
The Body—All the Waters of the Earth Turn To Blood
The Body is one of the select few metal bands that are legitimately frightening. They don't shovel pseudo-edgy, pretentious bullshit. They don't bank on lo-fi or similar gimmicks to create an atmosphere. If you listen to this record on your best stereo or set of headphones with the volume cranked as loud as possible, it can be a sincerely discomforting experience. The Body makes doom metal; it's very stripped back, skeletal, formulaic doom metal, but as a holistic experience there's something unreal about this record. It's interesting how simple their music is, but how there really isn't a band out there that sounds just like them.
It's also emotional music. The Body's approach to doom is so overwhelming and filled to the brim with desperation it's hard not to be stricken by intense depression for some of the songs, especially the first track. At worst, the record can be a little obnoxiously repetitive and even boring if you're not 100% connected with the music, but at best it's a mental and physically exhaustive experience that every fan of experimental or intense music should try out.
It's Psychedelic orchestral jazz rock from the 60's that hasn't aged a day.

UNMBOTM hype thread. Predictions, anybody? Will McRide and the Death Grips pull it off again?
>>74313608
I read MC Ride as McRide (as in McDouble).
>>74313665
as god intended
>Predictions
sheesh...
*deletes "Back Door Man"*
>>74313607
Keep it on. You might not get the track but the little girls understand.
Were the Doors a psyop? I mean their debut album is essentially Morrison talking about repressed memories that he has of being captured and performed medical tests of all sorts on.
He even develops stockholm syndrome. Later on he predicts his tragic ending. He was silenced.
>deletes Butt-House Blondies
now a perfect album
We need a new one guys, c'mon.

Idc about the lyrics, what I don't understand is why people like the beat?
Whenever I hear the BOOM sound, it feels like a part of my brain exploded, when I head the 'ti ti ti ti ti' sound, I feel like an smg is shooting into the side of my head.
I don't get it.
>>74313309
stuff like this bangs. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6wtwpUwxQik the bass is fucking lush
some shitty trap producers you can tell when they're using generic trap kits.
The sane reason people like heavy metal and dubstep.
The snare and hi hats are the worst
Let's write a needledrop review one post at a time
>Hey guy's, ONETHONY POSTANO here, the worlds busiest music nerd
and it's time for a review of the new "ballsack general" album called "sprayin the troops"
Cal: You know who he is!
Anthony Fantano: HEY! That's my line you fat fucking FAGGOT!
Cal: *frowns*
Ballsack general is a post-rock/ jazz fusion band from Kelowna, Canada
which is your personal favorite? why?
>>74313017
Loveless, not even a competition, with Souvlaki coming in 2nd.
None of those thats for sure
>>74313017
Loveless is miles better than both and Souvlaki is great so that's saying something.

+ Arthur russel
--------- include the damn titles like everyone else
Bob Dylan said they're the best band of the last 30 years. Rolling Stone said they're undoubted geniuses who had never written a single song that wasn't awesome. "If there is one essential band since the year 2000, it is Chvrches"
Are they really that good?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gwonWE_fGVc
Any band that replaces a letter in their name with a V is automatically shit.
They're alright
They're only a meme here because people really want to sexually assault the singer
PC music does the whole future electropop thing better
