Now that the dust has settled, is this a masterpiece?
/thread
anyone who wasn't around at the time will tell you no, but it is. it's the most influential album of this decade. not just vaporwave, but electronic music in general. the "nostalgic" factor waved into even mainstream pop music. 420 is one of the most important songs of this decade. good or bad, that's one thing, but it's influence is certainly undeniable.
no, it spawned a whole bunch of cancer music too
Show me what's your fav albums of 2017

QOTT: What's your biggest fear?
>QOTT: What's your biggest fear?
Dying without a partner and without having made a decent impact on the world in some way. Kinda cliche, but there it is.

My timing was uncanny for this one, been so late for most of them recently
QOTD: I have a big fear of the ocean, so I guess it would be being far out at sea without a boat.

I've got a question on my own, maybe I'm overthinking this. Say I want to cover/interpret a classical piece written some 80 years ago. Can I do that freely or are there some constrains that should prevent me from this?
ITT: Post shameful music related things you do.
>I refuse to read anything but 5 star reviews for any album, because I'm afraid reading something negative about it would make me like it less

I like his screams and the album had some neat moments and interesting ideas, but in the end it was like a bunch of really good potential that narrowly missed the mark. Whoever called this radical, and especially whoever called it "no wave", was dead wrong.

Why is Paul looking away?
It's a "attempting to discredit The Beatles by comparing them to The Velvet Underground, The Mothers of Invention, Silver Apples, The United States of America, Tim Buckley, Captain Beefheart, or Jefferson Airplane as if they have anything in common other than existing in the 1960s" episode
The Beach Boys
