Criticism is about evaluating the reason behind the work and determining how successful it is. Pretty much all the music critics ignore the concepts behind albums and their scores are just based on preference so they're all garbage.

So far as embarrassing music things I do: I obsessed over cute Japanese girl vocals and lofi recordings to the point that I can't really figure out if Tentenko is the best musician alive or terrible.

I only listen to /mu/core and I use Itunes

Now I know people will hate me for this but whenever talking about an album I don't listen, I go to the middle of each song, listen 5 seconds of it and determine in that time what kind of song it is. After that I argue of base on what I heard and my assumption of what the whole album sounds like.
