This is just what I was waiting for. I'm so happy. I never really liked fjm. But this is the album I've been waiting for since blues.
I'm so happy I can't explain what this music means to me.

>musical duo consisting of cute female w/bobcut on vocals and bearded nu-male playing a synth
That's my favorite too anon
>musical duo consisting of very good rapper and very good producer who's a so-so rapper and raps on every track instead of just staying on his production lane

But I like Run the Jewels.
This album is a 2/10 anyone who likes it are brainlets
I will agree that it's overrated but it's not a 2/10 imo, maybe more like a 6-7/10
It's sorta rough around the edges and that makes me like it more
/contrarian/
What do you guys think?

Tru, but i'm pretty fucking sick of both

I can revisit I Love You,Honeybear and appreciate it. The musicianship is absolutely beautiful and every song feels different somewhat. The lyrics aren't too bad either. Pure Comedy feels the same on pretty much every track and the lyrics get dull after track 1 since it's basically all about the same shit. I'm all for darker albums, but not when they're pretentious as all hell and never change in music.
What does /mu/ hate Pop so much?
awoo
Eminem keeps doing this weird anal screeching thing and unpredictable flows. The song "Best Friend" with Yelawolf is one such example that I think is just bad rap, and not much respect for music, so here Yelawolf makes up for it. I think his part is actually really enjoyable, both vocals and lyrics.

Ems vocals and and flow are all messed, and you can't be a rapper without either. Why does he keep doing this "don't tell anyone but I gotta suddenly poo really bad temper tantrum" angery thing, and then keeps it going the entire song? It makes me not want to hear the song, especially not in public when it sounds like somebody is having a stroke while vomiting.
Though he doesn't do this on every song, and I appreciate that he keeps inventing himself and trying new things. "Detroit vs. Everybody" is for example pretty cool and reserved, so he hasn't lost his cool.

I liked his Bad Meets Evil style because the anger worked, it had an villainous emphasis which also works for his persona and overall superiority. However, half of his songs past the Relapse era are overachieved ritalin fueled mic gags, and it's dissappointment. Yeah, I know they're raps that are technically and lyriclly superior to, maybe everyone's, but it's supposed to still be listenable and not all his songs and feautures are supposed to be another thing to proove his intellect, one which is apparently not capable of understanding that music is about sound, not verbal fuckery.
So I guess he's just bored with being "good enough" (all his good songs)? Maybe with his career he can afford to make diarrhea songs? I hope he will curb his talent at some point and just make some stable rap again. I'm done with his "I'm not old yet and I can prove it with being emo" phrase, I'm not here to dissect his autistic lyrical miracles, I just wanna hear some dope songs.
Who else feels like this? What do you make of this?
I don't think Em even gives a single fuck at this point.
Any good sites you use that you get your music from? I'd rather die than pay for fucking music

Violent by Design was once one of my favorite hip-hop albums. Now it just sounds like a bunch of underground try-hard tough guys posturing about how tough and brutal they are without even a hint of self-awareness. Vinna Paz is absolutely obnoxious. The only saving grace is the production.

I don't really mind it, when I had gotten into them it was a little late and maybe a year or two before Army Of the Pharaohs got put together and I understood that you were just kind of 1-Upping each other with the kind of things they were saying. I really like Celph Titled just for the reason that he's silly like that. Vinny does seem a little try hard but he's got a really gritty voice that brings it together. Some of the subject matter they tackle is a bit more diverse than what a lot of other rappers were coming out at the time with although that was me in grade 10 and my collection of music wasn't quite as large as it was now. One of the biggest things that drew me towards them was their beats though.
Me too, mainly because everything else they released was extremely subpar
