ELTSD kinda takes a huge dump on the other characters, glimmy is being portrayed well until she casts the spell and then she apparently completely stops feeling any semblance of empathy or anxiety, then she doesnt understand why she was supposed to spend time with twilight's friends in the first place. Her faults and failures and her determination to overcome them are some of the biggest reasons I fell in love with her.
I don't love her as a misguided villain, I love her for who she really is, which is why I didn't realize I had fallen in love with her until after reformation.

Whereas FiM seems to have an excess of Glimmer, I feel like Equestria Girls didn't capture the potential. Her role in Mirror Magic felt very abrupt and lacked enough character interaction (Mirror Magic is pretty bad on its own for several reasons but missing out on doing more with Glimmer in the human world is one of the bigger ones for me).

If they make another movie next year, I'd like her to come back. She's more interesting than shoehorning pony Twilight into the universe.

Also, after pondering on it some more, I believe that the show's going to give me the 'reason' for glimglam's... assertiveness, I guess.
I mean, I was going to use Anon's role in her life and stuff, but I'm 100% that something big will happen to glimmy this finale.

It's about her 'place' in the world.
I don't think she's going to become a princess, not YET, at least. But she's to become a leader of some sort.
Maybe it'll have to do with her 'group', Trixie, Discord, maybe Thorax and maybe Spike.
Maybe Ember too, we'll see what happens with her and thorax's episode.
I don't really see them sending her away tho, not after celestial advice.

I don't think it would happen this season. For some reason I'm feeling a mane 6 finale, she may play a role, but not centralized like season 6. It's just been an SoL season and her redemption arc is pretty much over, she isn't getting as much focus as s6.

Either way, I think the finale is gonna be big, and I still theorize it'll be the first 3 parter.

I don't think it'll happen. Twilight only happened to sell toys, and they barely sell any official Starlight mechanise. I don't think it's the optimal way to continue her character development, but I'd continue to love her to death either way.

Chrysalis, who vowed her revenge on Starlight at the S6 finale, will act her revenge on Starlight by kidnapping Sunburst and taking his form. This is why Sunburst has not been seen for the majority of S7. By hiding Sunburst's canon personality when interacting with Starlight after their reunion during the S6 premier, audiences will not suspect that Sunburst is being impersonated by Chrysalis during the S7 finale.

Then, Flurry Heart was born. A pony who was born a princess—this is the worst thing so far! Twilight earned her princesshood, but this pony was born a princess just because she has horns and wings. It makes Twilight's hard work completely meaningless; ponies can be born "princesses" and they're fucking better than everypony else by virtue of birth. So much for an egalitarian society. Absolutely vile. But I moved on.

Then, my favorite pony becomes a princess? Everyone's a princess! Two princesses to five in a matter of a few years, rulers of nothing, one by birth to make the other two extra meaningless, just "princesses" for the sake of the 100% meaningless title to sell toys. Entirely senseless and debaucherous, the very worst writing, the show is now indelibly a shit-quality toy commercial.
