Perhaps you should read my post again. The newbie writers have been doing okay this season and last, usually. Newness is no guarantee of shite quality in a show that's gone this long. I mean let's face it, in seasons past there's been plenty of shithouse episodes that were made by people who'd been with the show since the start.

I feel the same way. The show makes me comfy every week and I usually don't know what people complain about.

I started as of episode 9 ish back in S1, but the main thing I noticed is, call it anecdotal evidence if you will, the majority of the complaints about the show apparently being uber shit nowadays seem to stem from people who started in S3 onwards, which is really weird. People from the old era seem very laid back about it all. Once again, just my personal experience and digging.

Well I wouldn't recommend deliberately exposing yourself to the show and the related fandom more in an attempt to force yourself to enjoy the show in a way you might have used to in the past. Then again to me at least, it seems just as silly to force yourself to take a break hoping you can come back to the show later and get that feeling you used to have that way. If you're honestly getting in a rut then just let it take its course. If you still have a lot of fun watching the show but don't like going on the internet to talk about it or have it analyzed deeply then just watch the show and forget about everything else. If you try and force something, no matter which direction it's just going to end up making you more bitter.
