It sounds selfish, but the primary reason I QM is because I enjoy it, not because I'm trying to create a product for others.

A CYOA is a first draft, you can't really change stuff once you've written it down.

Also, you're telling a story in order from start to finish. While I can and do have endings in mind, you cannot rewrite, nor should you force players along your set path. A big part of being a QM is that flexibility. Your players have ideas, and it's important not to discount them in favor of the ideas that you want.
