What are interesting examples of when world / societal events shaped the course of a Rider series? Everyone knows about Fourze and 3/11, but I wonder if there's more. For example, the oil crisis of the 70's lead to a huge reduces budget for Kamen Rider X which fucked the initially strong ratings.

One is that the plot havely is tie with agito and seem to be a important part of the story.
Another is the portrait of the gurongi.
The gurongi in the manga are no less cruel, but are in some way more humen.
There are more screen time on the interaction between gurongi and more information about their culture(before they start killing humen, the ranks used to be decided by gurongi fighting with one and another)
and game rules(such as if you don't complete the game in time, you blow up)

The post-Decade quality shift is real. I don't know if they fired one of the producers or just got it into their heads that Inoue should never be allowed to helm a show again or what, but the storywriting quality took a huge leap after 2010. Things have gotten a lot more toy-driven, to be sure, but the average phase 2 Heisei show is a hell of a lot better than the average phase 1 Heisei show.

We have no reason to believe Beetle and Camera are Legend Rider items anon. The implication with them being packaged together is that they make a Best Match, and no Kamen Rider has a beetle/camera motif.

Of course, the Beetle bottle at least will probably still be used for some Legend Rider Best Matches, but it's likely that BeetleCamera is just its own random extra form.

Ex-Aid really took a hit in the camera work department. A lot of the shots and techniques they used were kind of novel but you could tell they weren't really experienced with it.
