It shows a lack of creativity to just rehash something from 50 years ago that was never really that good to begin with. Imagine if every Rider did this. Imagine if instead of Ex-Aid we got the same sort of existential temporal crisis that Ultraman is in where they try to split the difference between 1966 and today and in the end you just get shows that all blend together into a indistinguishable mess.

My main problem with the last arc is that in order to end Chronicle all they need to do is take the Bugvisor away from Masamune, and despite how stupidly OP Cronus is and how they keep losing, no one even suggests just stealing the thing or attacking him before he transforms. They don't need to kill him, just hold him down while they grab his belt. Plus even though Emu could've used a reprogramming finisher to take Masamune's ability to transform away at any time, he only uses it after Cronus and Gamedeus merge. It just seems kind of dumb to me when characters have already destroyed belts, stolen belts, and attacked before their opponents could transform earlier in the series.

Even after being separated from Gamedeus, he treats his own life as cheap and wastes it just so that the game would never end and the lives can never be restored. Man, Ex-Aid gives me so many mixed feelings. I love the concept, but the suits are really cluttered (the chibis are awful) and for some reason I just cannot seem to wrap my head around the combat system.
