Mai actually interacts with the cast though. The main issue with Koyomi is that due to her actress limited availability, the narrative importance given to her feels completely unwarranted. They had to keep flashing back to that one scene where they went out together early in the show due to lack of any later material that could show them close.

Also, when watching it weekly, the bad excuses they had to drag the arcs one extra week, with monsters escaping for no reason, were very annoying.

Wizard's plot also suffered due to the weekly schedule since everyone called the big plot twist with White Wizard by week 3. There's also the issue with Haruto being willing to sacrifice the 3 mages for Koyomi (before learning that he'd sacrifice the entire city) which soured a lot of people on the final arc.

As far as comparing it with Ghost goes, I guess the ending will factor into weighting it, but even when Ghost got slow in the 2nd half it was never as plotless as Wizard. The same stuff that benefits Wizard regarding bad cliff hangers and such also likely would help watching through the slower Ghost episodes like the clone Makoto battles when you aren't limited to a single episode per week.

I haven't tackled it yet, but Kuuga is a good go to. I'd recommend Ryuki Survive/ Whatever the figure is that provides ryuki's effect without the full HP limit, N Daguva Zeba, and Kuuga Ultimate. You will hit like a truck.

Go Kuuga with Kuuga Ultimate and Daguva equipped.
Immediately switch to Pegasus.
Hold Square for half a second and let go for mobs of enemies, hold triangle + circle and immediately let go when locked onto a boss and stunlock them indefinitely.

Even at level 1 this will easily beat anything.

Otherwise you can go Faiz and literally just spam the kick over and over with a figure that also increases the range since the AoE is enormous, it nearly one-shots bosses in general, racks up insane combos, and is easily aimed on top of 2 and Genesis letting you cancel out of the landing animation so you can get the guy in the air with another pointer hit before they even fall(Or while they're on the ground). Then when you get Blaster it's all over since the activation kick does like 70% of the enemy health, and you can just spam circle over and over since it has Rider Kick AoE with max range and is basically Kuuga's triangle + circle but instant charges.

Any rider gets like 6x attack with this setup. The catch is, no super forms, and you must be at full HP to get the full boost. There is a figure that provides Ryuki's effect without the full HP limit on it, but I can't remember what that is.

It works with anyone but some Riders are better off having their Hyper than others and Kuuga is one where you literally only use Dragon due to how overpowered it is.

Birth is awful because you have to build up to the grab and he's strictly stuck to being two feet from an enemy with it taking ages to actually get the stuff you need for the arm. Using the damage setup is pointless since you lock yourself out of the infinite grab spam so you basically just get the highest damage increase you can find and hope for the best.

Well, it's not like you need Ryuki Survive at all. Try it without it equipped, your damage doesn't increase by that much(Like 4k or 5k at most) which isn't a significant increase in comparison to the absurd Daguva + Kuuga Ultimate combo which can give you one-shot attacks even at level 1. I basically just run with Trial since I think he increased combo count or whoever increased AoE(Meteor Storm?). They're much better in my opinion since I aim for S ranks(Or was it A ranks?) on every match for the bonuses.

Didn't think it was that high, but the Daguva + Ultimate Kuuga combo is way more than enough, it already pretty much one-shots bosses as is. The thing is that you have to keep your HP maxed with Ryuki Survive for anything, the chance of you being perfect on every level isn't that high since mooks tend to swipe at you when you're doing anything, and in the Final Survive there's no way to heal either. Personally I think having higher AoE or combo is much nicer than having to tip-toe around to keep my HP up, and I like seeing a 5000+ combo, but that's just me.

Kuuga Ultimate heals you a really good bit. I'm only recommending Ryuki Survive because it's easy to acquire. If you have Den-O Chou Climax Form, it's the same effect without the HP limit, just looked it up. So you'd always be balls to the wall. But you can literally force getting Ryuki Survive so it's easy to to just stop and grab it.

Even so, you can also easily get S rank figures once you get to the Level Survival missions, so it shouldn't be too hard to grab the Super Climax Form if you want. I used the Daguva + Kuuga Ultimate combo along with whatever increased AoE when doing Final Survive if I remember right, but I was also playing Faiz since he plays so fun. Convert Kai 1 makes the orbs heal you instead. 2 converts the orbs to health as well as converts all chou hissatsu guage gained to health as well. So using charged square in a field of mooks heals a huge chunk of your HP. Also, there's nothing wrong with preferring more AOE or combo count, but do note that combo count doesn't mean anything unless you want to guarantee an S Rank, which you'd only want to do in survival, and Kuuga's AOE is so huge already that there's no point in increasing it. For other characters, like Birth he mentioned, AOE is probably going to be a huge deal.

I believe you actually had to do the Tokugawa stuff in the actual story mode since that's the only way you could play them(Or it might have forced you in Free Mission as well), whereas everything else you can do just fine through the Free Mission mode, that's how I did it at least.

Only mission outside of those Tokugawa missions that I couldn't S rank was the King Dark mission with Decade. Hurricane for mobs, Flame for bosses.

For Hurricane you just spam circle and pick a direction, then spam square about three times to shoot stuff to keep your combos going. The AoE is huge, does crazy damage, and is generally quick. 2 onward also gave you the cancels which makes it hilariously easy to chain this ballet recital. There's also Extend if you need to book it out of dodge.

For Flame, you want to be pressing square up until the move before the stab happens that knocks an enemy back and just do the Kick Strike.

The nice thing about Wizard is that if you're doing a square attack and go to any of the ring attacks it will instantly chain into them which makes Flame amazing for dealing damage to a single target.

It does about a fourth or a fifth of the boss' health, and it's the best you got. You can try Water or Land but they're both crazy weak and suck to combo into at all. If you want you can try and lure a boss into a Hurricane Dragon but it's about the same amount of damage.

If you do have super forms available rather than doing the figure damage combo, I would recommend All Dragon rather than Infinity since Infinity is disgustingly weak and requires button mashing to deal damage.

If you think Wizard is bad just wait until you hit the Gaim Riders. You'll want to kill yourself when you realize for Gaim your strongest and best move is going into Jinba Lemon which takes a 50 combo(Strawberry was horrendously weak unless fully charged even if you could stunlock an enemy), and I think for Baron it was the stab that dealt the most damage. When I spent some time with him I think I found the best thing was to just spam Griffon over and over and over and over and over. Agito has a slow beginning and a slightly disappointing finale.

Blade has a hype as fuck finale but the beginning is weird and has a slew of terrible acting.

The series I enjoyed the most overall is OOO, but most people think that its middle is pretty slow so your enjoyment of it is basically contingent on how much you like the medal gimmick and how engrossing you find the characters and their interactions.
