Worked some more on Fumina in between other stuff. Modded the arm gun parts so you could actually open them and add the gun parts in. It's not perfect but it looks good enough.

I've got a Graze primed and I'm working on some other stuff, but I can't take pictures.

Right now I'm trying to figure out a decent Hyaku Shiki colour scheme that doesn't end up looking like the Delta Plus or is just grey. The Hyaku Shiki is a design that rejects many colour schemes by default. I'm not quite sure what to do with it.

I can understand why people hate a lot of designs, but the CE designs are my favorite. As well as SEED I can acknowledge the flaws in the show, but I thoroughly enjoyed it. SEED and Destiny were the last Gundam shows I watched due to myself avoiding them because of opinions on /m/. I have a set of those manipulator arms form the 2015 Campaign that I'd like to add to a kit. The area of the kit I want to add them to has no peg hole, so I'll be making my own. I've never done this before, so what exactly should I be doing to anchor it in there firmly? I tried drilling a hole in a discarded piece and inserting the manipulator arm's peg, and it just seems like such a loose, flimsy connection. I tried gluing a polycap on, but it always breaks off when I put the base peg into it.

A few things I've learned/heard.
-Making increasingly bigger holes to check what size the hole need to be so the peg is secure
-Coat the peg in a topcoat/Future/etc that will give it more grip.
-If you need a more powerful connection there's things like glue and plastic cement
-The Bolden Arms Arms set is very useful for modding and whatnot

I have a lot of randomly assorted stuff along with non-Gundam kits. I would have to say the second largest portion of my collection is UC with my favorite being either the ZZ or F91. I really like late-UC grunts so I might pick up some of the old 1/100s as well. I have a few customs such as the Char's GINN I did a while back, but I'm fairly new to advanced methods with the only methods I have previously used being clean-up and panel lining.

My Hyakuri and Hyakuren came in today.
I really like the Hyakuri but I may build the Hyakuren first because it seems kind of unloved. Everyone seems to have a boner for the Hyakuri's unconventional design and the Hyakuren is sort of ignored.

I also don't get why they released the regular Hyakuren in November and the Amida one comes out next month, but it's literally the same kit with just a different gun but is 200 yen more. Why not just make them slightly more different and release them in the same month for 800 yen or something?

They don't typically release recolors in the same month because then their sales would compete with each other too much. The only exception to this I can think of is the MKII. People tend to have budgets for this kind of thing and if they put a month between thdm they will have a chance to be able to buy the other.

Plus it it keeps the kits from getting sort of stale. You buy one and build it and are satisfied. Then a month later you see the other is out, remember how fun the first was, and decide that having both would be nice.

if it's a peg and socket, apply a drop of future or super glue to the peg. let it dry for a day or more before you assemble and test fit. repeat if still loose

Depends on the MG. Depends on your standard of "better." MGs are more solid simply due to size alone and some are better engineered than RGs. MGs are also more impressive display pieces due to the size even though RGs have more surface detail than a lot of the older MGs.

They tend to be more fragile, the tolerances are much tighter so minor deviations can cause fitting issues and popped panels, and the Zeta's transformation is very fragile, you should only transform it once and leave it.

Are you new to the hobby? If so then don't buy an RG, I had an awful time when I started about a few years ago and a friend suggested the RG Mk II as a first kit. I basically fucked up every piece possible since I was a jittery mess and kept slicing off plastic because my hand would freak out.
