The blitz is just half assed at everything it does and is poorly though out. It designers just don't seem to know what exactly they wanted it to do so they shoved a bunch of random experimental ideas onto it and called it a stealth MS.

The N Dagger feels like it fixes a lot of the Blitz's issues with role (Separate physical melee weapons that can take advantage of its stealth, instead of a grabbing claw its basically rocket blade claws for piercing, and its overall less loaded down on the shield).

I think it was supposed to work in tandem with another G-Weapon. The Strike or Buster or whatever draws an enemy's attetion, the Blitz cloaks, flanks and unleashes hell on unsuspecting enemy MS. Then it recloaks, let's the Strike/whatever draw aggro again, and rinse and repeats.

It's also great for breaking sieges, as shown.

Any tips for what kind of paint/mix to paint in instead of barbatos' pink reflective stickers?

I'm not skilled enough nor have green paint so I'll just use the sticker for the face plate, will paint the side skirt stickers on. Was thinking maybe just wing it with a red/white pink mix but it won't have that reflective sheen.

I think I'm done. Last night I sat in front of the HG Barbatos and I did nothing.
I didn't remove a piece from the sprue, I didn't use great care to remove any nubs, I didn't panel line it or prep it for paint, I just sat there and stared at it for a while. I looked over at my backlog tower and didn't feel anything either. I just sat there, wondering what to do next. I opened the RG WZC box and just stared at it just like I did to the Barbatos.
After wondering what the Hell is wrong with me I think I finally figured out what it is: Gundam, the series and the kits, have gotten stale. It's never been a series that likes to focus on the mecha, they're just there like trees in the background of a snapshot of a forest. There's always somebody crying about war being bad, peace being what everyone wants and how fighting is actually a bad thing. Usually that person is spouting this from the cockpit of a mobile suit, a machine that CLEARLY was built to fight in the first place, which is the irony.
Can't they ever make a series that is about people that EMBRACE the war around them, don't whine about it and strive to be the top living gundam pilot, no matter what the cost?
What they're doing at Sunrise is exactly what Nintendo did for so long. While other video game companies were putting out titles that people wanted Nintendo stuck to the more family friendly games that drove a lot of people to PlayStation and Xbox.
Just for once in a Gundam series I'd like to NOT hear how war is bad or someone whining about peace. What I'd like to see more of would be the actual mobile suits that the franchise is named after. And actual adults piloting them, this kid shit is getting old. As someone that served in US Army I've NEVER seen a kid piloting anything.

Painted my mars base and drybrushed it with some nice rusty red and orage, then put a brown wash over the whole thing. Don't know why its showing up so light on camera, in person its a nice rusty red-orange.

When the oils dry I'm going to scrape some artist pastels for pigments to give it a nice and dusty look.

It had a lot of trouble with sagging oob. After painting it up the joints are a bit stronger and it holds it up a lot better now. I'll have to see just how much it has sagged when I come back next week.

I had like 3 orders that looked like this in the past couple months. At this point my backlog is so huge I'm more of a collector than an actual modeller. Funny you guys should mention that because the shop finally got a shipment in the other day and I grabbed one as soon as I saw it. I apparently just missed the option set with the mobile worker too but they're getting another shipment before thanksgiving and I asked them to hold one for me. Well if youre using the davenci arms, id get the vernier 3 ms builders set since it has a box shape ones, put the larger ones on the back and smaller ones on the front. For the shield/sub-arms put it on the sides and the sub-arms can be like the kshatriyas. Hopefully that helps

Yeah, it's a pretty darn good kit! Feet have a little bit of trouble staying flat, but it can still pose very well grounded. I didn't seam weld. There is quite a bit of coloring required since all the vents on are molded as part of the body instead of separate pieces. Same goes for the missiles on the hips. I also recommend coloring the hip thrusters even though the anime lineart doesn't. Beam saber in the pic is a loan from Gabthley, Bawoo's is a toothpick. Hope you enjoy it!

I'm unfortunately in FL so humidity and heat are a constant. Is 70 percent humidity ok for either painting by airbrush or topcoating by can? For spraycan primer it has seemed fine but I know painting can be finicky. I've heard actual degrees of temperature matter less than humidity but again, not sure.

Bigger scale usually means better color and parts separation so it requires less paint.
But from the preview, the 1/100 Barbatos is literally just upscaled HG so they require same amount of paint, e.g yellow on the shoulders.
