I've gone to Pride most years of my life because my family lives a few blocks away from the annual parade route so some of my earliest memories are being three/four years old and watching it from my mom's shoulders. Two years ago when I went I was still coming to terms with being gay and it was extremely emotional for me for the first time- I tested up watching, especially because it was also a couple days after marriage equality passed so that was a big deal. Last year was the first time I've gone while out of the closet and I got all dressed up and got a lot of female attention which was overwhelming and incredible.
