Why do you need to have surgery beforehand? It's probably better to have it afterwards, IMO, since you'll be able to build muscle easier which'll make it easier for the surgeon to cut around. Plus, there's always the chance of growing back some breast tissue if you're not on T.

I did not want to be reliant on the medical system for the rest of my life if testosterone killed my ovaries, and I did not feel like I was getting a lot of support for my Obvious Mental Health Issues from the endocrinologist who gave me a T prescription in the first meeting without any blood work.

Also, I do not believe in souls, and the science behind "brain sex" is pretty loose from my knowledge of science.

After I was on T long enough that I started to get read as male consistently (like three weeks in the face, two months for my voice, no joke), I realized that while it was very very uncomfortable and anxiety inducing, most of how I relate to the world is not through the lens of Male. It is through the lens of Weird Mannish Girl. But it took me long time to ... I dunno, decide what to do with that. No kidding, be read as just Male is waaay better. But I guess I needed a taste of that to realize that stopping further transiton would erase my chance to be the WMG again, which is what I guess I most honest for myself.
